NoScript identified a URL for "updatemybrowser.org", but I enabled that and still did not get a pop-up.
So, it’s there. Maybe No-Script stopped you from seeing it.
If you look at the page source code, down at the very bottom, you’ll see the code for this script. Since the banner doesn’t appear on the Microsoft browser or on my WaterFox browser, it looks like the script is identifying my Seamonkey browser as being out of date, erroneously.
Been getting that pop-up for a week or more.
I do not click such notices
update announcements come thru their own sites in our PC - not on open web or email...
Using the company’s logo is an old trick.
NEVER fall for it...
I enabled it in NoScript and still got nothing. In any event, it’s nothing worth clicking on if it does pop up.
If you are running Mozilla, I would highly recommend installing the ‘Ad-Block Plus’ plugin:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/
You’ll be amazed at how much crap you no longer have to put up with...
Oops - please ignore my previous to you - I should have read further down...
