They believe it’s someone else’s fault they’re poor.
And they expect government to fix it so they aren’t poor any longer.
The worst of this is not that they make less than their parents. The worst of it is that their opportunities for economic mobility upwards are worse than what their parents experienced.
Capitalism, it works if you try it. We have hogtied it and as a result it doesn’t work as well these days.

Has any of the “researchers” addressed the impact of the “All Volunteer Force”?
Like it or not the DOD was always the employer of last resort when I was a young man , 1965 -1980. With the advent of the all volunteer force in the mid 1970s the demand for unskilled and over educated people (liberal arts college degree in history and education in 1969) dried up.
And, to be honest, I went career (20 years) because it offered me the best track for taking care of my family which was started in 1977.
Now, 40 years later the same economic factors exist but without a DOD doing any massive hiring and training.
Soft, lazy children. Why work when the parents will give everything for free? Dr. Spock was an idiot.

I love my millennials. I have two here. They are great guys. It is sad that this wonderful generation (many of whom are fighting for us all over the world) is suffering with such a poor economy and political correctness, which harms millennials of all races and genders. They are starting out in life with hope and there isn’t much to be had.
We’ve been lied to and used for too long.
