Howdy, LUV. Hope you had a good day off.
This road trip is getting close to our neck o’ the woods. Just a couple of hours away. We went up there several years ago to greet a planeload of 101st soldiers returning from Iraq and it’s a large base! I was worried we’d get lost and end up somewhere we weren’t supposed to be and get in trouble. LOL
Howdy, Kathy.
Hope you’re getting through this Monday with your sanity intact! :-)
Our son is there now. 1st Brigade, 101st.
Good evening, Mayor, and thank you for today’s sustenance for body and soul.
Hope you had a good and productive Monday.
Good evening, Pro....is it still really hot?
We had a nice sunny day today.
It’s always kind of a worry when you’re on a base you aren’t familiar with. Those MPs don’t mess around. :)
Bump, God Bless and keep your boy safe!
Heh..
Heh..
Heh..
Yup, it’s still hot but oh well, it’s summer and thank goodness for A/C!
Good evening, radu...my units that I usually work on Monday night have not come in. Makes Tuesday that much worse. *sigh*
I’m just about ready to go home.
How was your day? Still hot? Any sign of rain?
Ft Campbell where the june bugs get big enough to carry you off.
Summer 1967 in the 504th of the 101st at Ft Campbell rolling pallets of 55gal drums out the back of Hercs and Starlifters over the dropzones by the highway.
Indeed!
We missed a turn on base at Pensacola last year when we went there to check out the museum. Got to a gate with a “no unauthorized personnel beyond this point” sign and knew we weren’t supposed to be on that part of the base. Fortunately, no MPs were around and we found our way back to the street that took us to the gates without incident. Whew!
Distracted by Major Crimes. Drat!
Now that sucks pond water!! It's not like things haven't already been made difficult enough for y'all. sheesh!
Still hotter 'n hades and still dry as a bone. The soybeans are about to become a loss. We MIGHT get some rain tomorrow or Wed. but if it isn't significant, we're in trouble.
BRAT..PRO!! LOL!
WoooooHooooo!!
It’s unnerving! When my son had his seizure [long story] and lost his driving privilege for 6 months...and they had a brand new baby....I went to stay with them for a while and drove for them. I was the chauffeur. Anyway....every time I drove him on base I was a nervous wreck that I was going to make a wrong turn and end up in some spot that was off limits. LOL!
Thanks. We’re proud of him and his bride. They both give me hope.
