Locals in Cedar Rapids say this was rival black gangs that have spilled over from Chicago. (The feds have been encouraging the export of ghetto culture to ‘less-diverse’ locales}. There have been rival black gang skirmishes at the St. Jude festival for several years now.

on a local message board here in pittsburgh, i see a constant post that nvr gets answered, it goes more or less like this:
name one small, medium, or large city in the u.s. that WAS predominantly white, and had a huge influx of blacks, that hasnt gone downhill in terms of life style, economy, crime, etc...
again, not one liberal has ever been able to answer it.
Intimidation and some free publicity. Our festival is a pretty big deal regionally. It is important to the local economy and it’s just a fun time that has been pretty much a trouble-free event. The mayor was right to stand his ground.

I sense a lot of people are turning more racist. Black Lives Matter is dehumanizing us even worse than Obama did.
The day my Mother retired from teaching high school English, she was asked what was different in 1970's teaching compared to when she first started in the late 1930's.
Her reply, "The students no longer care for education. They have no respect for others or even themselves. Integration was supposed to lift blacks to a higher level. Instead I have seen the whites copy the black's manners, their music and their morals. It is time for me to go."
And that was 37 years ago.
