I am citing the poll numbers, do you think they changed because of the opinion of the man who reports them?

Question number two, do you think the Trump himself disbelieves these poll numbers now that you are aware that he has shaken up his campaign?

PS. I approve of the shakeup and hope it succeeds.

Yes. I dispute early poll numbers if I cannot access their data and compare it to state registration numbers.

I think Trump is fighting the media, and the media owns most of the cited polls. Polls can be manipulated. Manipulated polls are used to manipulate voters and lead them to desired mindsets. Manipulated polls at the end of a campaign are hoped to shape voter opinions and be reflected in both voting and exit polling.

Trump needs to get inside their decision circle and disrupt that shaping.

So, he ‘believes’ that the manipulated polls are a weapon being used shape attitudes, and that they have successfully done that in the past.

How do you disrupt their decision matrix?

I think you MUST go on the offense. Nathan Bedford would understand that; so would Patton.

The polls numbers from polls with reasonable methodologies look decent for Trump. Considering the enthusiasm gap, it's the Democrats who are clearly running scared.

Hillary has spent tens of millions of dollars on TV ads vs. 0 for Trump, PLUS all the free anti-Trump 24/7/265 from the Media, PLUS the fact that the Media is totally ignoring Hillary's criminality. All that, and she's barely ahead in the real polls (within the MOE, in fact).

At best, Hillary's support is a mile wide and an inch deep. Once Hillary starts experiencing significant counter-punching and Trump starts spending TV money (which is beginning almost as we speak), things will shift quickly.

Speaking of spending money: have you seen the fund-raising figures for Trump over the last 60 days? Those figures are extremely strong ($80-100 million) and certainly not indicative of a flailing campaign.

Before the conventions, everyone knew exactly what the Media narrative would be in the weeks after they were complete: Hillary would experience and "amazing" post convention bounce, with the Media piling on gratuitously.

That's exactly what happened. Now, Hillary has blown her wad, and, while Trump may have been bruised a bit, he's still standing.

Given the forces arrayed against Trump, it's incredible he's in as viable a position as he is. Nobody that I can think of, and I mean nobody, including Ronald Reagan, could have withstood such an onslaught and survive politically.

It's a tribute to both Trump's tenacity as well as that of his voters. You need to become one of those: not a lukewarm supporter, but an all-in supporter. That's what we need. The time for wishy-washiness is past.

Virtually all of the "reasonable" polls have come back down to earth. Even Lefties like Zogby have admitted that.

Hillary and the Dems are worried senseless. Even with the relentless Media character assassination of Trump, they're not able to keep him down. Their house of cards threatens to come tumbling down at any moment.

In any event, Trump-hater Ben Shapiro's negativity is certainly not something we should be giving much credence to. We know what his bias is, and that should be factored into analysis of everything that he writes.

Characterizing Trump's actions as a "shakeup" is typical of your tendency to put a negative spin on things. As a former Cruz supporter, you just can't seem to help yourself.

The campaign is growing, and growing campaigns evolve and bring in new blood.

War is about propaganda? Why do you insist on echoing the propaganda of the Enemy. If you're going to parrot propaganda, at least try to echo the positive propaganda of the Trump campaign.

We all know this is going to be a hard fought election, OK? We don't need you to reinforce the Enemy's narrative in this community.

"Shakeup"? Go get a job with CNN, NB!

Donald Trump is going to win this, based on the factors that always win elections: enthusiasm and turnout. It is Hillary and her ilk who are fighting against the national current.

Vote Trump!

“if Trump lets the moderate Establishment types steer him he will lose big time.”

These two hires are solidly on the right. I take this as a sign that Trump wants to keep going forward in the conservative, anti-establishment lane. Bannon works for Breitbart, a very pro-Trump, anti-establishment media organization. Conway is more of a tradional Christian conservative and a pollster. Neither are GOP establishment. Neither are moderate.

They have the potential to be great hires, and with their media and polling backgrounds they hopefully can fine tune the campaign in ways that will win over enough people in the swing states to win the presidency. Anyway, Manafort is more of an establishment GOP type than either of them (and he will appropriately continue to serve as Trump’s liaison with the party and Congress I would imagine).
