The Left is upset that a whole bunch of right-wingers are able to mock them, and their anonymity protects them from physical-world retaliation by Leftists.

Thanks for distilling the "meat" of Lefty Joel Stein's whinefest.

Time Mag's Joel Stein has been one of THE worst, nastiest prog-fascists in prog-world.

Funny how this putrid, festering hypocritical fascist-punk discusses his definition of "cesspool" and "Democracy".

The Ministry of Propaganda can’t take the ridicule they so richly deserve.

Call them out at every opportunity and call them the Ministry of Propaganda to their faces.

Joel Stein needs to go talk to George Stephanopoulos - ask him about when Hillary became aware 'the Internet' might be a problem for democrats.

That's where the political trolling started... with an Alinsky type model of 'pretending you're the KKK' to damage Republicans.

Their job was to make us ashamed to be ourselves... to hype the anger and rage and to disrupt natural conversations between conservatives. The old AOL political chat-rooms were the first place to see it... with early liberal trolls asking the same questions repeatedly -never listening to answers just disrupting the flow of conversation.

Liberal elites at the time bragged about the Internet windfall for them... they could write their 'fake letters to the editor' and 'fake letters to our top people' easier with the aid of the Internet because it made it easier to copy our way of speaking and expressing ideas.

I'm not surprised Joel Stein was fed this story and a slant to blame Republicans... who knows maybe George Soros paid for the original research Joel Stein played off of - - there's a weird creepiness in that thought...

Yes, this is why we don't trust the press...

If you’re getting trolled on the internet, just turn your computer off.

Also people shouldn’t put up a bunch of personal information anyway.

Failing to notice that it was the lefties that created this-—we just figured out how to use it. The idiots also fail to note that the real “hate” is on the jihadist side. Now there are peeps who REALLY know how to use the internet for their ends.

Trolling (as I understand it) is distributing information with the intent of inciting some argument or response.

Pulling a bait or lure behind a boat to entice fish to eat it and be hooked. Same intent & effect.

I never run out. On one site, on a lark, I created a second identity and then would use one in firefox and the other in IE. I figured the moderator would catch on pretty quickly. Nope. It went on for six months.

I would have conversations with myself, making sure to use different language styles so it didn’t look like the same guy. I’d “set up” one of me to make a salient point without it looking too much like a setup. It was a lot of fun.

Someone finally complained because I was just nailing them so much it was laughable. The Mod finally checked IP addresses and banned the “temp” account.

I have 37 accounts here but I only use 9 or so at once. (JK)

Awwww. The leftists are crying foul because they no longer are the sole owners of barrels of ink. Now that the average joe can rebut/refute their trolling it’s “not fair”! Boo- hoo, their tears are delicious.

Who will appoint the speech police? Never mind shortly Obama will hand over control to some international organization. This story has no meaning.

This stupid definition of trolling is misusing the word’s usefulness. Trolling is NOT disagreeing with an opinion online in a discussion.

Real TROLLING is going to an online place where you don’t belong, sort of a non sequitur, and rabble rousing. For instance, going to a thread where people are discussing favorite wines and ripping alcohol to shreds. Going on a dog breeds thread and declaring that only rescue dogs are the proper pets. Going on a conservative website and declaring love for Hillary.

You can’t “troll” on an MSM site or a generic political site by stating an opinion that might be different from others posting there. Calling “diversity of opinion” trolling is like saying there is only one right way to think and it is yours. It’s immature and anti intellectual.

The first (non-internet) troll was probably Thomas Jefferson who employed the muckraker James T. Callender at the Philadelphia Aurora to disparage and disrespect George Washington and John Adams.

Would creating some accounts from PCs at the public library make a difference?

The Left’s standard response to any criticism...

“Shut up, I’m talking!”

But trolling has become the main tool of the alt-right...

This is the second time in as many day that I've seen the term "alt-right" used. I sense a meme coming on!

No mention of leftist lynch mobs that target private citizens, political opponents and even celebrities like Ellen when they run afoul of their group-think.

yeah.

Actually, if you have an iPad or smart phone, you could log onto one account with your phone’s data plan and the other using a computer connected to some other wi-fi or your cable. They simply could not connect you.

I live in Central KY, but when I go to Google maps it uses the best location it can get for me (using my cell phone as a hotspot, and starts me in South Carolina. When I log in with my Work computer in Louisville, it nails my location there. So if I’m at work and use my work computer as one ID and my cellphone as the other ID, there is nothing whatsoever, not even geography, connecting them.
