Trump: No Citizenship For People In US Illegally For Long Period, But ‘They’ll Pay Back Taxes,’ ...

On Wednesday’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump stated that people who have been in the US illegally for a long period of time won’t get citizenship “have to pay taxes, there’s no amnesty as such. There’s no amnesty. But we work with them.”

Trump was asked, [relevant exchange begins around 3:30] “[Y]ou’re not a criminal alien, you committed no crimes, but you didn’t respect our laws and sovereignty. You also seem to be indicating there might be something other than they have to go back. Am I reading that right?”

He answered, “Look, we have to follow the laws of our country.”

Trump then asked the audience what should be done about people who have been in the US for a long time and has been “terrific.”

After asking this question of his audience two more times, Trump was asked, “So, you’re saying there is — and you have been sort of indicating that there’ll be some flexibility that you — originally you had said they were all out, and there was a big brouhaha, but you’re saying that if somebody can prove that they’ve been here, proven to be a citizen, but here’s the big question, though, no citizenship?”

Trump responded, “No citizenship. Let me go a step further, they’ll pay back taxes, they have to pay taxes, there’s no amnesty as such. There’s no amnesty. But we work with them.

They’ll never apply for it if they have to pay back taxes.

There’s no law on the books today that allows them to pay back taxes and stay, so we’re not talking about following the laws of our nation are we?

We’re talking about making new laws to accommodate the lawless.

Why was it so important to get them out of the nation?

CRIME: Murders, Rapes, Child molestations and rapes, gangs (MS-13 and other), burglaries, grand theft... on and on it goes.

Nobody will go home now. Every one of them sill stay.

So we made a big stink out of sanctuary cities, because that young woman was killed in San Francisco, and now we’re going to be come a sanctuary nation?

Skipping his Thursday (today) announcement on immigration was the worst political decision he has made. Kellyanne is responsible for this, and it’s a GOPe sabotage as sure as I am sitting here.

They couldn’t beat Trump, so they corrupted him. (at least on this issue, and now we have to wonder what else he’ll cave on)

Pissed? You bet your ass I’m pissed.

What vetting will take place? N O N E

All criminals will stay.

We get a wall promised to be 60 feet last year, now down to 35 feet, and destined to be five feet with ladders.

Cluster ——

One the bright side, there is not bright side, but nobody else was going to do anything about it either.

“There is no realistic way that 50 million can be sent back in the blink of an eye.”

If the jobs and welfare benefits are cut off, they’ll self deport. Fedgov won’t have to lift a finger, or even pay for a bus ticket.

How do you calculate back taxes for people who work in the underground economy and are paid in cash?

I have worked with literaly hundreds of illegal immigrants from Mexico. To a person they do not want citizenship. Their loyalties are with their home countries, usually Mexico. They want our jobs, our schools, our social services, their culture, our telivision services

If they stay AA still don’t have job oppurtunaties they need to leave to employ Americans.

Coulter says they get thousands in tax credits as illegals.
That means their cheap labor express companies are relying on the taxpayer to subsidize their salaries.

We need to use the laws to have them and I am sure they number at least 20 million illegals now to self deport.

Tax remittances, fine employers of illegals, kick their kids out of our schools, my kids are being home schools because 30 percent of our class size is illegals who speak little or no english and no learning is taking place.

They will never pay back taxes because they get tax stipends like Ann says.

” If he thinks he’s going to get votes by stabbing his voters in the back ...”

Trump is doing what Trump does: finger in the wind.

He’s a populist, not a man of principle.

But he is all we’ve got.

Turning off the magnet is the only way to truly end 99% of illegal immigration. As long as the invaders see a pro-survival benefit to entering our country illegally, they’ll keep right on doing it - no matter what the laws on the books say.

We have to de-incentivize the practice by enforcing our laws to the letter, then go even further by penalizing those who hire them. Ending the misapplication of the 14th Amendment to grant birthright citizenship to the U.S. born children of illegals must also stop.

We either do all of these things, or the country is no more. I’m going to hold Trump to his word to get it done.

Exactly.

Trump needs to drop this stuff. Close the borders and enforce the law as it stands. That comes first.

No, it’s not amnesty. As much as we hate to admit it, Trump has to work within the existing laws. If we can get laws changed then he will do more - maybe Cruz and some others might want to help with that. But for now, we have to work with existing laws so that we don’t spend 4 years fighting with the Supremes or Pelosi. Laws on the books includes no sanctuary cities, no hiring illegals, no releasing illegal criminals, no this and no that, on down the line - enough to give us a running start.

Go Trump!

“It seems like everyone who gave Romney and McCain bad advice on being Democrat lite have been advising Trump of late, to bad effect.”

Not really. This whole “Trump is going wobbly on illegal immigration” has been another smear attempt by the MSM, UniParty & never-trump turds. Pure horse dung.

Vote Trump 2016

“If he thinks he’s going to get votes by stabbing his voters in the back on illegal immigration, he’s wrong.”

How do you say this when Trump has stated REPEATEDLY “We’re going to follow the law”? What part of that suggests to you he is going to stab voters in the back? Stop spreading FUD!

Vote Trump 2016
