Palin: ‘No Matter What Trump Does on Immigration, It’s Going to Be Better Than What Hillary Will Do’
Breitbart ^ | 25 Aug 2016 | Jeff Poor

Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “The O’Reilly Factor,” former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK), the 2008 GOP vice-presidential nominee, reacted to reports that current Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was softening on immigration policy.

According to Palin, regardless of what Trump is doing on immigration, it will be better than the alternative, which is what Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton do with regards to immigration.

she is so right on that. Clinton like obama will flood this country with low educated immigrants, and put them on the welfare, so they can then be in charge of their lives.

That may be true but it is not the benchmark for what we should do about the invasion. That he would be better than Hillary doesn’t say much.

Romney probably would have been better than Obama but it still would have been awful.

Trump will be a vast improvement over anything Clinton or Romney would do.

Will he be perfect and snap his fingers and solve every problem?

No.

Will he be an immeasurable improvement on the Obama and Clinton policies?

Yes.

He is almost the only politician that I know of who favors these things.

Lets not forget if any of the other candidates were running we would be at the establishment’s mercy and like I have said before, they have none for the American People.

I don’t care what you did 12 months ago. You are not supporting Trump right now. That’s all that matters. If Trump doesn’t win nothing else matters.

Jeese, come on people, just because we QUESTION The Donald, or want to hold his feet to the fire, doesn't mean we don't support him. I understand how important this election is, and I totally intend to crawl over a naked Hillary's body to vote for him, but this obsession with 100% approval of everything he says or does is childish.

Once in the WH, how do propose holding his feet to the fire?

By not electing Hillary whose feet will never be in the fire, yours however might be.

Based on history: 2006-07 under Bush and 1986 under Reagan, The Prez doesn't have a lot of authority over immigration reform. It is mostly the prerogative of Congress.

In congress, there is the traditional battle between republicans and democrats plus the battle between republicans.

One group of republicans says immigration problems can be fixed with enforcement only while the others says the visa programs have to be reformed.

It will be much better. It may not be perfect but he isn’t going to invite invasion like the Democrats.

If we lose on the immigration issue we will lose it all. History has shown that multiracial, multicultural society do not work.

The Prez doesn't have a lot of authority over immigration reform.

The President can simply enforce the current laws, they are pretty strict. No new legislation needed. You are just used to laws being totally ignored.

I agree.

Trump is our only chance of winning on illegal immigration. If Clinton becomes president all is lost.

The Prez can enforce the law to the degree that congress appropriates the money to enforce the law.

And Congress doesn't appropriate enough money.

Trump's solutions are based on going around Congress.

He doesn't need Congress to appropriate the money to build a wall and says he can get Mexico to pay for it.

He doesn't need more money from Congress to hire enough agents to round up the Mexicans and administer due process because he is going to create an auxiliary force of volunteers who will capture the illegals and all due process will be suspended.

If Trump builds the wall and secures the Supreme Court everything else is gravy.

Yes, Congress has refused to pay to enforce the immigration laws. And donors are sending big checks to keep it that way.
Trump can do some on his own, negotiate some things, and use his victory to demand some things.

Donors and voters are rigidly divided on the issue. I expect Congress to at least threaten a government shutdown.

Trump is being criticized by ‘conservatives’ for sounding like he’s maybe going with Ted Cruz’s immigration policy...

I love irony!
