With Grassey hinting that that the Senate Republicans will be willing to act on Garland, the Democrats are going to exploit his statements and push for a senate vote.
If hillary wins, Garland might be a step up.

The only way they should do that is if Hillary wins. Garland is no conservative, but he seems to be to the right of Sotomayer and Ginsburg. I’d be very afraid to see who Hillary nominates.

He’s only “held firm” because they primaries were still to be held. Now that they are over he didn’t even wait one day to drop this stink bomb. Now is when the rubber meets the road on this issue.

If Trump loses in November, the Republicans would be insane not to try to confirm Garland. He would be very bad, but any of Hillary’s nominees are bound to be far, far worse.
