The parties should consider the health of their nominees when selecting them.
There is nothing in the Constitution that protects a particular party's ability to field a candidate. If their candidate fails to qualify (e.g., dies), the election goes on with the remaining candidates.

When in Mexico, Trump should have a food taster & insist that he and el Presidente eat from the same plate. Don’t take chances, even the Montezuma Two-Step could be fatal.
Or maybe not. The real Trump hater in Mexico is the former preezy Vicente Fox who was seething on CNN this morning.
(I wouldn’t watch CNN except Mom is in rehab & that’s the only news channel in her room.)
