"I got a Ruger LCR 38 Spcl +P."

Those are easy to carry with the hammerless feature. But those snubbies can feel like a hammer blow, even with the lighter ammo.

You can overcome the flinch with practice ... lots of it.

Get the shotgun and black rifle next. Do it now because the government will want you dead at some point. And you will need more than that across the card table inside the room snubby when that time comes.

Try some Liberty Ammo for .38spcl, in 50gr:

Hardly a recoil6 for a snubby, and real fast. It’s not cheap, but now on sale.

Welcome aboard my FRiend! As you start getting used to firearms, you may want to consider a semi-auto. My daily carry pistol is a Glock 19 carried in a Crossbreed in the trousers holster. It is easy to carry and comfortable. I have one of the little Ruger .38 revolvers as a backup.

Lol, looks like the worst liberal government in history is actually a good thing for the gun industry. Maybe gun fanatics should vote Hillary.

Why is a pump action preferred to a semi automatic?

IMHO it is not.

The semi-auto is faster for follow-up shots, has less recoil, and you can return fire with one arm disabled. These advantages far outweigh the lower cost and simplicity of the pump.

That was when we still has a Republic.

Before Usurpation Day, January 20, 2009

Which could not have happened without the full cooperation of both parties.

A Constitutionally ineligible man was sworn in and not one of our elected or appointed would stand to defend the Constitution.

"Why is a pump action preferred to a semi automatic? I have both and the pump is sometimes awkward."

'Cause the pump action sounds scarier in the dark?

I added to that figure myself.
Won’t say what I bought but it’s a new caliber for me and now the ammo hunt begins.....

I did my part for August. Got a Beretta Pico. Got to the range yesterday and it was 100 out of 100 for reliability. Still shoot a J-frame better, though.

“Why is a pump action preferred to a semi automatic?”

It’s not preferred, it’s inexpensive therefore attractive to first time firearms buyers. Just a good place to start without the buyer’s regret.

Not to mention that in close quarters, if the barrel is grabbed, the gun is effectively useless.

By the end of 2016, approximately 25 to 30 Million Guns will have been sold in a single year. That is nearly one gun for every 10 people in the country.......in ONE year!

And they left has the audacity to claim people want gun control!

...I got a Ruger LCR 38 Spcl +P..... Good choice. Consider adding a shotgun for the home. Decent pump actions an be bought for a couple of hundred dollars.

I have one of those with a Crimson Trace Laser grip. Conceals well, I just prefer Higher capacity Guns. However, there is no risk of a jam with a revolver.
