"US" Companies that off shored took a big chance on globalism, a process that created the Uniparty. They wrongly thought that protectionism, as a political movement, was dead. They thought by killing off patriotism and nationalism by controlling(though money and bribery) the culture and the mass media that that alone would permanently kill any protectionist movement.
