Appeals Court blocks Kansas, Alabama, Georgia on voter ID rule

A U.S. Court of Appeals on Friday blocked an effort by Alabama, Georgia and Kansas for voters to furnish proof of citizenship when registering at the polls, which opponents say disenfranchises voters, especially minorities.

The decision effectively strikes down a rule that requires voters in the three states to provide proof they are United States citizens. Elsewhere, voters only need swear that they are citizens in order to cast a ballot.

"With just weeks to go before a critical presidential election, we are grateful to the court of appeals for stopping this thinly veiled discrimination in its tracks," Chris Carson, president of the League of Women Voters, which had sued to block the new requirements, said in a statement.

Conservatives in Republican-controlled states have moved to tighten voter identification rules ahead of the Nov. 8 election.

Corruption runs throughout our government.

Just making sure voter fraud can help Hillary.

And saying that voter ID laws disenfranchise minorities is the same as saying that minorities are too stupid to obtain ID's, which is typical liberal Racism!

They have never explained how this disinfranchises minorities.

Minorities have id’s.

When illegal aliens vote, my rights as a citizen are violated. This fact is not in dispute. Anything to protect everyone’s rights (including the rights of LEGAL IMMIGRANTS) is in everyone’s best interest. Our government is so frikin’ corrupt. It’s just so sad.

We should file a discrimination suit.

Our vote will be diluted. We have the right to have one person one vote. In our case it will be one person 0.95 of a vote.

We, law abiding citizens are being discriminated against!

Voter ID disenfranchises illegal alien voters and legal alien voters, too.

The lefties know this is a problem on the margins and if they were solely interested in fairness they would send all their myrmidons out and bus prospective voters to the places where they can get free state IDs. No, they want people to be able to multi-vote and cheat while laughing at the “oath.”

The States certify their voting procedures and their electors. The States can tell the Federal Circuit to urinate up a thick strand of twisted natural fiber.

Amazing how requiring an ID to drive, buy liquor, and buy smokes isn’t racist, but requiring one to vote is.......

So, this is all the more reason to kick non-citizens out.

Libs, we can play that game.

In November I will vote for Trump and if Trump doesn’t win, this will be the last time I will ever bother to vote..... with a ballot.

I agree that we are being discriminated against. I already proved my citizenship at the correct registration office. I amfrequently have to produce my birth certificate for various reasons, and mine isn’t an inexpensive one, either. Mine costs $40 while most states charge $10.

Justice is supposed to be equally distributed for ALL, and failure to adhere to that basic American principle IS discrimination. The laws should be the same for everyone.
