Donald Trump paid his respects on Saturday at the funeral of conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly, 92, who passed away this week. We are here today to honor the life and legacy of a truly great American patriot, Trump told attendees of Schlaflys funeral mass on Saturday afternoon. A movement has lost its hero.
Trump met privately with the Archbishop in the adjoining chapel where Schlafly was married in 1949.
Trump was welcomed by the mass attendees with a standing ovation.
We lost an amazing woman and our county has lost a true patriot. A strong, proud, and fierce warrior. And thats what she was a warrior. A warrior for the country which she loved so much, Trump said. To quote a poet, Phyllis was that strength which in all days moved Heaven and Earth.
In all of her battles, she never strayed from one guiding principle: she was for America, and it was always always America first. With Phyllis, it was always America first.
This beloved woman had more strength and heart than 50 of the strongest politicians all put together, Trump said, adding:
She never apologized, she never backed down in taking on the Kingmakers. She loved her country, she loved her family, and she loved her God. Her legacy will live on every time some underdog defies the odds and delivers a win for the people. America has always been about the underdog and has always been about defying the odds. The idea that so-called little people that she loved so much could beat the system often times the rigged system thats the romance of America. Thats the story of the mother and patriot we honor here today.
When Trump had finished his remarks, attendees, once again, rose to give him and her a standing ovation.

We love you Phyllis. We love you. Thank you.
LOLOL.
You get a thumbs-up from me, too, for your posts on here.
Who are these people who want to give women the credit for everything Trump does/says? And why? Highly suspicious.
And to think that not too many months ago, the cognoscenti were pooh-poohing where Donald Trump could be, noses in the air that his checkered past made him a hopeless sinner.
This is God’s show; not Donald’s. Each event is a test to show where people’s hearts are.
Be careful — you complain about distraction yet fall to it yourself.
This is God’s show and the people who give that notion the most play will be the ones who see the furthest into the scene, mark my words.
“This is Gods show; not Donalds. Each event is a test to show where peoples hearts are.”....That is a fact.
And hopefully he will reinstate all those wonderful military leaders who O purged....you know, the patriots who wanted to win. Then DJT can purge all the weak fumbling military leaders that O put in. Restore our nation! Go Trump!

The guy in the background looks like Trump’s son. Hmmmm.
I agree with you. He has really been outstanding these past weeks.
So happy he paid tribute to a great, patriotic American.
