These guys are true blue.

Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz paid their respects to the victims of 9/11 on Sunday by wearing the patriotic commemorative cleats as the Giants took on the Cowboys in Dallas — despite NFL warnings that players would be fined for wearing the un-sanctioned footwear.

Beckham’s special cleats were red, white and blue and emblazoned with the bust of a bald eagle.

Now I don’t feel so bad that the Giants won.

And I was happy for Victor Cruz. 700 days since he last played.

NFL, the most corrupt thing going sans politics.

It does help.

We need to remember that the NFL wouldn’t let the Cowboys wear decals on their helmets to honor the 5 Dallas cops who were murdered on duty. Petty, bureaucratic incompetents.

Re: Backpedaling on the Cowboys wanting to honor fallen officers.

Goodell knows his demographic I suppose, $.

The NFL permits players to disgrace the Flag, but threatens players for honoring 9-11 victims...

I wouldn’t and won’t patronize that.

We need to be bigger than the NFL. We need to set an example of what’s acceptable. We MUST draw the line!

One week. Shut it down. One Week Matters!

I feel like an idiot. Used to hate the salsa dance he did in the end zone. Pegged him for a hispanics before Americans kind of guy.

That’s called pre judging and, I guess, racism. I apologize, Victor.

I thought Beckham was just a punk after last year’s fight. Maybe he’s just a kid with a temper.

But at least he’s a patriotic kid

I skipped football today, and the internet except for five minutes on here.

Couldn’t watch a sport where guys knelt during the anthem on 9/11.

Dont know if any did, but I knew one did Thursday and that was enough for me.

Jets lost anyway. What else is new?

Good for them! This was a sad day. I am glad they decided to commemorate the loss of so many, of a deep wound for America.

Two players in the NFL standing up for America is better than none of them doing so.

These players not honoring the US flag and their enablers who defend them are useful idiots for an overall agenda. As with what happened when the Confederate flag and other historical references to the Civil War were removed last year, it's all about that invisible hand that strives to diminish patriotism......and nationalism.

I kind of find it refreshing when after disrespecting the thousands of American heroes by using the national anthem as a tool to argue racial problems, that they disrespect their own league. By taking a tally, they’ve dissed their bosses, the people that pay the bills for them, the fans, and a number of them, have lost sponsors. What’s next, themselves or God. Bout all they have left.

Nice to see the season off to a standard opening: Giants win, Jets lose...

So, the NFL fines for 9/11 tributes, but is A-Okay with the kneeling during the National Anthem. Wonderful organization. I’m glad I don’t watch professional sports.

I’ve been done with the NFL for years, but the recent episodes of no 9-11 cleats but OK to sit-out the national anthem reinforce that decision.

Several Giants players, and I think that Beckham was one of them, seemed very much moved at the playing of the national anthem. The country needs more like Beckham, Cruz, and the guy in Tennessee who also honored 9-11.

The Cowboys should have done as those Giants players did: ignore Goodell and defy him to punish them.
