Trump thanked the good Rev. for his time and left.
*******************************
Her time.
Why would a pastor of a church invite someone in to thank the church for what they did? I can’t imagine such a thing.
Why would a pastor of a church invite a presidential candidate, who has nothing to do with what happened in Flint, to thank the church for what they did in Flint? I can’t imagine such a thing.
Why would the pastor of a church invite a presidential candidate in to do anything but talk about politics? What was her purpose, other than to completely set him up?
What campaign staffer signed onto this without seeing through it instantly?
I don’t understand this from the pastor’s perspective, and I don’t understand it from the campaign’s perspective. If I were Mr. Trump, I’d be pretty pissed at both.
You will be our puppet Trump, or else you can leave.
Donald Trump shouls have thanked the Rev. You ask, “What have they done for Flint?” They have transformed Flint into a tourist Mecca attracting literally dozen of enthusiastic tourists every decade. Rap music and uncertified pharmacologists add to the cultural milieu.
Now that you mention it, this does feel the same. I've had a feeling for about a month that Trump may win by a landslide. This is the first I've mentioned, not even to my husband, because I've thought I'd sound idiotically optimistic. Now that you've brought up the media in 1980 maybe that's made me feel this way. I was really concerned before the election that year due to the news.
I’m mulling over taking a moment tomorrow to look up the church address and send a card mentioning how ill mannered this lady was. My mom and dad are Methodists. I found Christ in a different denomination in adulthood. I usually attempt to keep my comments about Methodists to myself out of respect for my parents. However, my parents did teach me better behavior than this reverand has shown.
What did they (the pastor and her church) did for Flint? What did LIBERALS do for FLINT??
When asked what his greatest fault was in the debates, Trump said something remembering things people did to him, too long. She might wanna get a hold of those transcripts and rethink her perceived brilliance.
He was in a church.
It wouldn’t hurt. Methodist churches often do a lot of good in their communities. I have a number of friends who are active in different UMC congregations. However, they also have their loo-loos.
This isn’t just about Mr. Trump. That woman was just rude. It costs nothing to be courteous even if you don’t agree with someone. I am female and a lay minister in my church. That behavior has just gotten all over me. (Sorry you’re the one hearing me vent.)
No problem, I don’t mind if someone posts a gripe at me!
I agree: everyone, especially in the church (regardless of denomination) should be more polite to others.
