M1 carbine uses a removable magazine. M1 Garand uses a clip...the magazine is internal. M14 uses a removable magazine.

You are correct, and none of them hold only 5 rounds. As an aside, I was never a fan of the M1 carbine (or any .30 caliber carbine rifle). I’ve shot it and I played around with a friend’s M1A SOCOM and much prefer the longer barrel on a round that powerful. But I do like the M1A Scout bunches. Just my personal preference.
