The first law of holes, or the law of holes, is an adage which states that “if you find yourself in a hole, stop digging”.

-- Not even CNN is going to stand with Blumenthal against a Washington Bureau Chief in a contest of integrity. --

LOL. Why not? Integrity is already shot, plus WaPo is firmly backing Camp Crooked, including knocking down the claim that Camp Crooked (including Blumenthal) had anything to do with whispering birther rumors to the press.

If not for the pay cut, Blumenthal would be a great replacement for Wolf Blitzer or Jake Tapper. Same integrity, and Blumenthal is much more interesting. Ratings would improve.

Could Hillary Clinton be lying about something this important?

I started a joke
Which started the whole world crying
But I didn’t see, oh no
That the joke was on me, oh no

I started to cry
Which started the whole world laughing
Oh, if I’d only seen
That the joke was on me

Thing now is does Bammy want to show his face on the campaign trail for Hellary? Now this makes an instant connection that he is supporting a candidate who started the birther question and he’s prolly not too comfortable with all that shady mess since his BC is a fraud. Divine deliciousness of karma. Thank You God!

It would seem that this forces the Clinton camp to take one of two approaches.... They have to either A) prove that James Asher made the whole thing up that Blumenthal “told me in person” that Obama was born in Kenya (and hope that Asher doesn’t have good enough back up to conclusively make that case) or B) claim that Blumenthal never really was part of Clinton’s team.

Or option three. When the evidence emerges that the campaign did raise this issue in 2008, they can claim that it was a rogue element in the campaign and that Hillary ended it as soon as she heard of it. Of course, that would be a lie not that it matters to the Clinton campaign.

==> “We don’t understand it. These rules have always worked for us in the past, like accusing our enemies of doing what we’re doing.”
Clinton, Bloomie, Soros <==

They are used to the media doing their dirty work and intimidating their critics for them.

They never had to deal with anyone who confronted the lies and false accusations eyeball to eyeball like Trump does.

If Hillary wants to learn how to “power through” she should watch a year’s worth of Trump campaign videos.

“...: why would a good Democrat file a lawsuit which could upend the presidency of another Democrat?...”

Because the Democrat (illary) that the lawsuit-filing democrat (Berg) was supporting would do anything to discredit and destroy their (illary’s) democrat opponent ( 0) in the primaries.

Here's one more, not a huge name, but not a no name either.

Another former Clinton supporter wrote on Friday that Sid Blumenthal and the Hillary campaign was behind the birther controversy.

Larry Johnson at No Quarters reported:

I am shocked at the audacity of Hillary Clinton to decry Donald Trump as a birther because her campaign not only pushed that item in a bid to discredit Barack Obama, but mounted a sustained campaign attack Obama on a broad array of issues. How do I know? I was part of that effort and was in regular email and phone coordination with Sidney Blumenthal. Sidney was the conduit who fed damaging material to me that I subsequently posted on my blog.

In some cases Sid Blumenthal actually provided a draft piece that I would slightly modify and publish under my name. Most of the time, however, Sid provided...

The Democrats have always put their Opponents on Defensive with the “do you still beat your Wife” accusations.

Now they are on the Defensive having to prove their innocence. Trump just cut them off at the knees with his comments after yesterday’s Speech at his Hotel.

If asked about it, Trump should just keep repeating that it all started with Hillary in 2008. If he is accused of making it up, he just call the Media lazy Hillary sycophants and tell them to Google it and change the subject.

The most likely option is the press just suddenly finds a new issue to focus on. This one is never closed or explained. A shooting, slow speed car chase, international terrorist incident, anything can displace this as a story, in an instant.

That is the usual approach when the press gets it worong. Clam up and move on.

Hmmmm.... that would be very interesting to have Blumenthal declared a 'rogue element'.....

Like a lot of people I had a problem with Trump’s brash style back when the snow still flew. But then came to understand that if anyone could beard these media `lions’ in their dens it would be this man from the city so nice they named it twice, Empire state.
