This Cruz is such a complete, smirking asshat that he needs to be driven out of office.

And just to be sure, stick a fork in him.

I'd need one of those Klingon stabbers to MAKE SURE that he's dead. :o)

They are not on the same side in the IMPORTANT issue which is American Sovereignty. Cruz is a globalist!

I agree that Trump represents the America-first position which is rare in Washington.

Cruz will support Trump on immigration enforcement, the border wall, cutting abortion and Planned Parenthood funding, strengthening our military, supporting veterans, backing local and state law enforcement, abolishing Obamacare, protecting free speech, protecting freedom of religion, protecting our right to bear arms, and rolling back any non-ratified agreements with state sponsors of terror like Iran.

Those are all pretty important agenda items where they have common ground. I’m sure there are more.

Yes, that is exactly what he said.

He’s absolutely right: urban areas will go blue and cause down-ballot wins for the Dems if Republican voters stay home.

Senator Ted Cruz warned patriots gathered for a Constitution Day gathering that Democrats could have “massive wins” in the large urban counties in Texas “if one, two, or three percent stay home.”

It isn't clear. Does he consider that a good thing or a bad thing?

When speaking of the race for president, he noted that three of the justices on the U.S. Supreme Court are quite advanced in years and the next president will have the opportunity to select the justices to replace them. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is 83-years-old, Justice Anthony Kennedy is 80, and Justice Stephen Breyer is 78-years-old.

But he still doesn't call for folks to vote for Trump, so he must be good with Hillary appointing their replacements.

Cruz is still hated by Democrats and hated even more by Leftist Republicans.

And most of all, by the Alt-right. He's going to be a real unifier when he runs for re-election. No one (except the Bush cabal) will support him, and they are probably looking at options.

How can you possibly state that Ted Cruz will support Trump on immigration when he, his wife Heidi, and G.S. are Mondialists? His votes prove it and he lies whenever it is profitable to him alone. I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him. He DOES NOT have the power OR the Respect of the Senate OR the People anywhere near that of Senator Jeff Sessions.

“How can you possibly state that Ted Cruz will support Trump on immigration... ?”

And I don’t know how you can claim Cruz will oppose Trump on immigration. Stopping illegal immigration has been part of his platform from day one.

Ted Cruz is still a senator. He is not up for re-election.

Our focus needs to be on getting Trump in the White House. When he is there we will no longer need to speculate. Either Cruz will help, or he will hinder. And we will go from there. For now it is just my opinion against yours. We will have to wait and see who is right.

Right now, Cruz is NOT the opposition. The opposition is Clinton, the leftwing media, the Democrat party, and any Republicans who still openly oppose Trump being elected (we will remember them). Squabbling over Cruz is a backward looking waste of time.

I would love to see Cruz come out and state unequivocally that he is voting for Trump and endorses Trump for president. It might be too little, too late. Either way, we must elect Trump.

You have been stubbornly insisting that Ted Cruz is a good guy. MY “OPINION” is based solidly on the FACTS of his VOTES~ FACTS matter. Yours is simply your opinion and has been the same since you supported Cruz against Trump. I agree that getting Trump elected is the number one objective, however, you do not realize that Cruz can do Trump no good. He has shot himself in the head and is politically dead.

Trump won the primary. Don’t be a sore winner. If you really hate Cruz so much and want to defeat him this badly, at least save it until after this election. You can’t keep him from continuing to be a senator for the next couple of years. If your “facts” prove right during that time, I’ll be the first to join you in seeking to replace Cruz with someone better.

Stop trying to tell me how to think. I’ve been at this game longer than you have. You have been the one to constantly champion Cruz. I have been the one who has been with Trump from the beginning. My FACTS are correct NOW.

“Stop trying to tell me how to think.”

I am not telling you HOW to think. I am merely suggesting you ought to think. It’s better than just emoting.

This is a forum where people use logic and reason to make their case for conservative principles. If being asked to think is too big of a request, maybe you should reconsider lashing out at me for what I think.

“I’ve been at this game longer than you have.”

Well, it’s not a game to me. And the Clintons have been at it a lot longer than me too. Doesn’t make them right.

On the other, your experience may give you some insight I do not have. So I’ll concede the point.

“You have been the one to constantly champion Cruz... I have been the one who has been with Trump from the beginning.”

Kudos to you for picking the winner early. I do not mean that sarcastically. A certain amount of friendly banter is called for between FRiends in this case. If I knew at the start what I know now, I would have backed Trump. Regardless, Trump is the ONLY choice now. However, in retrospect, if Trump had not faced serious opposition in the primaries, it might have actually hurt him in the general. He built his reputation as unstoppable in the primaries. Now, the media has hurled everything they’ve got, and he still keeps going UP, UP, UP in the polls.

But on the Cruz issue, most of us moved on. Others just can’t stop beating a dead horse. Sort of like Hillary distracting from the real issues by bringing up Obama’s birthplace again. No one was talking about that. It is a distraction. So is the Cruz presidential bid. If he does anything to undermine Trump’s bid for the White House, then certainly it is relevant.

In such a case, feel free to include me in your protests against him. I will join you. Otherwise, these endless attacks on him are pointless distractions that at best take our eyes off the goal, and at worst lead to alienating support for Trump by former Cruz supporters. And there are many. Millions, in fact.

From the start Cruz WAS my first choice, and Trump was my second. That changed. Trump won. Cruz did not keep his promise to endorse the winner, which makes me very displeased with Cruz now. My path to Trump support is very similar to Jim Robinson and many other conservatives around here.

At times, you seem like you would rather Trump lose to Hillary than to win with the support of former Cruz supporters. I hope I’m wrong about that, but that is how it appears.

But I will give you this. When we argued in the past, before Trump won the primaries, I probably should have listened to you and others earlier. It took me a while to change my mind from Cruz to Trump. Probably longer than it should have. So I’ll take that under consideration for the case you are making now. A year or two from now, I may have to come back and admit I should have listened on this as well. But, at this point, I am still optimistic that Cruz will prove to be a Trump ally on many major issues. We shall see. And if I am proved wrong, feel free to come back and tell me you told me so. I am not too proud to admit when I’ve been wrong.

And if I have come across as hostile, I do not mean to be. I sometimes get too aggressive during online arguments. I appreciate your hard work to get Trump elected. Keep it up.
