I like Moultrie, but most of them will give you a decent still picture. I'd recommend mounting one of these right below the trail cam.

Someone stole my Trump yard sign at 2am, and they left all other signs up. Neighbor across street saw cat parked there at 2am for about a minute and then drove off. Luckily I did not pit my extra out. I advocate all Trump sign owners to Hang a tree/hunter/trail cam with night vision adjacent their yard sign to aid in prosecuting these PUNKS. I should have put mine up. It's going up now next to new sign, and when the perps do it again I will send their pic to the tv and paper news, as well as the local police. Please do the same. The anti Trumpers are S desperate right now. HANG THE CAM YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID!!
If you have a dog, perhaps have it do its business at the most likely path to the sign. In the dark they will get the sign but hopefully something else that they’ll bring into their car.

If by "kids" you mean teenagers, that's certainly possible. As for prosecution I suspect a person would have a hard time even getting a cop to show up to take a report, let alone get a prosecutor to prosecute.
But at least here in my neighborhood of the 7th Congressional District of Missouri it's quite common. I've had many yard signs stolen over the years. The democrat who lives 5 houses down has had the same thing happen.
Like Yard signs are going to “sway” a voter one way or the other, NOT!

Probably a white liberal. I live in a neighborhood that’s probably at least 40% black. No problem with my sign. Neighborhood use to be more like 75% black. Blacks got hurt the worse under Obama. They had to move out of the neighborhood.
It’s still early though. I hope the sign makes it to November.

Liberally apply glue of some sort. then, when your alarm goes off you can scream and yell, “TRUMP SUPPORTER, LOOK A RACIST HATER!!! GET HIM!!!.”
They steal trail cams as well.

Booby trap the ground around the signs with... manure? mud? oil? Paint?
Coat the signs with motor oil? raccoon piss? hot pepper sauce in vaseline?
Stake them down and cause a prat fall like the one on the youtube?
Electricity?
Alarms?
What else? Let’s see them howl about this over on Mom’s Basement! :)

Actually they do. They demonstrate the support of the resident to his neighbors and passers-by, and may affect their choice.
The same sign (or a hundred) alongside the road....not so much.

Be sure to firmly anchor sign. Maybe anchor with something different so it looks like a flimsy yard sign they can snatch and go. If they have to stay a few extra seconds to get it out the better the pics and angles. Set it to take pics at shortest intervals. Maybe facebook pics too. Someone will recognize them.
