Former President George H.W. Bush is bucking his party’s presidential nominee and plans to vote for Hillary Clinton in November, according to a member of another famous political family, the Kennedys.

Bush, 92, had intended to stay silent on the White House race between Clinton and Donald Trump, a sign in and of itself of his distaste for the GOP nominee. But his preference for the wife of his own successor, President Bill Clinton, nonetheless became known to a wider audience thanks to Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend, the former Maryland lieutenant governor and daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy.

On Monday, Townsend posted a picture on her Facebook page shaking hands next to the former president and this caption: “The President told me he’s voting for Hillary!!”

Country club repubs to the end. It is in their blood.

As for H.W.’s legacy, look up “voodo economics” sometime. Never forget “read my lips, no new taxes.”

The Bushes are all dedicated to statism.

Read my lips, Reagan didn’t really like Georgie.

He was a last choice pick for VP.

I have never regretted voting for Ross Perot in 1992.

I’d believe every last one of the Bushes will vote for Hillary.

>> It just proves that there really is only a theoretical difference between Republicans and Democrats RATs and RINOs.

The Republican base has nothing in common with the Communists.

you mentioned country clubs, weren’t GHB and Clinton golfing buddies?

For some reason I recall pics of them golfing together on several occasions after Clinton left office.

Ditto to that.

Trump wasn't my first choice in the primary, but he won the nomination fairly and squarely, so he has my full support now. And, since he's running against the likes of HRC, that makes it even easier.

If Trump accomplishes nothing else this election cycle, he has at least opened my eyes to the hypocrisy and dishonesty in many public figures that I used to admire, starting with the Bushes.

I don’t believe it !!! It’s so easy to just stay home and not vote at all in protest of Trump ,, than to make an issue out of it . Basically ,,,, all RINO’s are at least 50% liberal as is with the Bush family .

Well, I voted my conscience in 1992 against this guy and that’s now proven to be a good decision.

I have respect and admiration for many people who are not conservative.

The Bushes have showed themselves to be venal and petty, evidence of the intellectual and moral shortcomings of the old WASP patrician class.

Finally, I have a use for the dustbin of history.

“The problem with George Bush is that he is not primarily a conservative, he is primarily a Christian”

I am not sure which George Bush of whom you speak but it does not matter. As a Christian I could never participate in mock idol worship of witness a mock sacrifice which occurs at the Bohemian Grove.
IMHO, there is absolutely no difference in the goals of the Bushes and the Clintons. The difference is the finesse in which the Bush family as achieved their goals. George HW Bush placed a wonderful veneer on his family’s sins.
If you are interested in uncovering truth on the Bushes start with The Franklin Scandal by John DeCamp.
