Even if it were his flag, and stomping it with his shoes, it's the freaking school district's (taxpayer) floor.
If he did it in his own home, I couldn't care less...
again, you respond with your opinions, not facts.
The 1989 SCOTUS decision was about a “protest” burning of the flag - Texas v. Johnson.
The teacher was teaching about Texas v. Johnson
According to another source, the teacher didn’t try to burn or cut the flag in the classroom.
Here’s the story with more juice.

Have you read the ruling?
I have. I recommend you educate yourself.
It's not even written in cursive.
BTW do you agree with the total imbecile who suggested that so long as the teacher is "teaching" no constraints exist?
How about teaching the young minds how to design, construct and operate a Zyklon B shower room?
I agree with you. I initially only looked at the fact of whether or not it was his flag. I completely blew it on the time and place issue. I conceded I was wrong further down the chain and admitted to it.
I’ve read the ruling.
educate myself about the ruling or cursive ?
yikes...no constraints ?
Not sure I agree with that. Probably would have to be on a case by case basis.
How would you trick the bugs and rats to get into the shower ?
I never said he burned flag in the classroom. I was using your previous language about the Supreme Court ruling about burning the flag and free speech. That ruling would probably not apply to this case with a good lawyer.
For crying out loud, go light up a joint and relax. Those kids who walked out the classroom and/or took the flag away from him showed more maturity than you. It was a completely obnoxious, revolting thing to do. A good teacher does not use obnoxious, revolting strategies. Those students will remember that idiot’s repulsive act for the rest of their lives. That idiot shit on the flag and you must be willing to die for him over it.
They get away with this crap because no one pushes back.
A couple of students walked out. Too bad it wasn’t the whole class, but it is a start.
Long past time for “a start”, but I get your meaning.
Some well-placed middle fingers - OUR ‘1st Amendment Right” - is overdue.
Starting a fire in a classroom? I’d say that is illegal.endangering the lives of students?
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen so much wrong, ignorant information in such a short post as yours.
There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorancethat principle is contempt prior to investigation.

your probably right about that. But another article says he did not try to light or cut the flag.
again with the opinions.
cripes...did you not read all of my original post ?
I don’t mind getting hammered, but for the love of God, come at me with facts.
Kids who walked out are probably technically in more trouble than the teacher.
