That should be a truism. But, as Byron York points out, Hillary Clinton responded in a retweet that she disagrees:

The left have been deliberately working on blurring the distinction between citizen and non citizen for a long time ... decades.
They do not want citizenship to even be a thing.
Once that is accomplished rule of law (in whatever country you reside) is becomes a squishy thing that may or may not apply, depending on who you are and what the whims are of those in power.
Hillary is all for allowing millions of foreign invaders into the country who will do nothing more than make anchor babies, live off the government dole, and vote DemocRat.
