Charlotte victims gun was either in condition zero or condition one. Both of these conditions mean he was ready to rock and roll. The only difference between 0 and 1 is 0 means he already had the safety off. Unbelievable the media has not pointed out the alleged firearm with cocked and ready to go.

While not staying exclusive to the 1911 his ideas on carry status are tailored for that gun (Beavertail safety, hammer back in carry)
The method doesn’t jive well for the Sig or Browning SA/DA designs.

Colt 380 Mustang makes it a lot less likely to be a throwdown gun. A Jennings or Bryco? More likely. Even a Taurus. But THIS?

These modes work with my Browning hi-power, which of course is SA.
Jeff was a fan of the CZ 75, which is DA/SA, though he was not a fan of 9mm. He helped with the Bren 10, which is a CZ derivative in 10mm. The CZ 75 can be carried decocked (DA first shot) or cocked and locked (SA).

Agree in principle, but I’m thinking of the Tulsa woman police officer (?) who may have triggered due to the sound of the tazer.
Even with training, who knows what happens when the adrenaline and tunnel vision kicks in?
When I’m wide awake I love my Gl 19 in my end table, nice smooth trigger.
And my S&W Sigma .40 by my bed because it has a trigger like gas pump handle. You really have to mean it. :-)

I carry condition 1. I grew up thinking all gun had to be condition 10. Gun empty iand locked one room and the ammo locked up in another. It truly was a different world back then. My father didn’t own a pair of stol until I gave him one.
Most of my house guns are condition 1. Shotgun in the closet, pistols in night stand, AR at the front door, .22 for varmet are all condition 1. Grandkids will be a change agent to that.
