U.S. slams Russian 'barbarism' in Syria, Moscow says peace almost impossible

The United States on Sunday called Russia's action in Syria "barbarism" not counter-terrorism while Moscow's U.N. envoy said ending the war "is almost an impossible task now" as Syrian government forces, backed by Moscow, bombed the city of Aleppo.

The United Nations Security Council met on Sunday at the request of the United States, Britain and France to discuss the escalation of fighting in Aleppo following the announcement on Thursday of an offensive by the Syrian army to retake the city.

"What Russia is sponsoring and doing is not counter-terrorism, it is barbarism," U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power, told the 15-member council.

"Instead of pursuing peace, Russia and Assad make war. Instead of helping get life-saving aid to civilians, Russia and Assad are bombing the humanitarian convoys, hospitals, and first responders who are trying desperately to keep people alive," said Power.

A Sept. 9 ceasefire deal between U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov aimed at putting Syria's peace process back on track effectively collapsed on Monday when an aid convoy was bombed.

These people are terrified that the Western-backed, Jihadi head-choppers might be defeated by the lawful government of Syria.

That’s exactly right. Obama’s team worries that it’s now almost impossible for the Jihadis to seize control of the Syrian government. WAAAAAAAAA! It’s not fair!

Who in their right mind would even entertain a “Ceasefire” with ISIS?

WTF?

A ceasefire gives these troglodytes legitimacy.

God help us all.

The US slams Russian barbarism for bombing ISIS Jihadi and yet Obama trains and supplies and provies political cover for the ISIS psychopaths who have engaged in the most heinous acts of genocide and perpetrated horrific crimes against humanity and then distributed videos of their crimes

Hillary is the only answer, of course. Dont forget the reset button.

You can’t fight war like we have since Viet Nam. You must destroy the enemy until they surrender.

"You must destroy the enemy until they surrender"

Yes, you must kill them until they tire of dying.

What would it take for Syria and Russia to help us out with the Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS infiltrators throughout our government (Valarie and Huma, among them) and the country?

“Ceasefire” is just an excuse to rearm and regroup and the Syrians and Russians know this. When fighting muzzies you never “Ceasefire” until all the muzzies are dead.

But that is how a government fights a civil war. What if Sherman's March to the Sea had failed to get the job done in 1864? The Union would have been forced to employ even nastier methods.

And the Confederates weren't as ruthless as al-Nusra, much less ISIS. No member of the federal government feared having their head chopped off if the South failed to capitulate.

Assad and the Baath party, on the other hand, are backed into a corner. They've already seen what happened to Quadaffi and Saddam. There is no incentive for them to do anything but fight to the bitter end.

By this time we know how things work: it’s always `opposites’ with our pResident Barack Costanza.
If `George’ doesn’t like it, it must be a good thing.

There’s leading.
There’s leading from behind.
There’s sitting on the sidelines criticizing others.
Guess where the US is?

And how has Obama’s obsession of Assad played a role? He has armed and trained several competing factions, including ISIS, and said all he wrong things on the world stage. He has tried hard to turn Syria into a Libya. Syria is our ideological enemy, and cost us American lives with their support of Saddam in Iraq, but we actually have no interest in Syria. Get out.

Truth. These days there MUST be an occupation, followed by quagmire. No way to win that with the enemies-within we have.

Trump is the ONLY one I’ve heard mention the old axiom “To the victor the spoils!” He was referring to Iraqi oil, but way back it used to mean EVERYTHING.

We’re too fancy for that now, so we get zip for our blood and treasure. Maybe Trump will refreshingly change that should he have to declare war during his Presidency.

Syria conflict map. It is updated constantly.

http://syria.liveuamap.com/

The colors are the following
Lighter Green: SDF - Syria Defense Forces (aka Syrian rebels, aka the ‘moderate’ beheaders’ which is composed of many groups of various names) The USA provides arms and training by US military and intel advisors.

Darker Green - Turkish Army (with air cover provided by the USA) which is on the northern Syria/Turkey border.

Red - Syria Arab Army (Syrian government)

Yellow - YPG (the Kurds) They are basically on their own. No one wants them or likes them.

Black - IS/ISIS/ISIL/Al Qaeda in Iraq and Syria (which the USA provides air cover and arms via lots of ‘accidents.’)

Blue - Israel (on the SW end of the map)
