GOP nominee Donald Trump bucked his party on Monday by offering strong support for gun restrictions aimed at blocking those on the government's terrorist watch lists from buying firearms.
The bipartisan legislation, dubbed "no fly, no buy," would prevent those suspected of terrorist ties from buying or owning guns a concept promoted by Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee, during the presidential debate Monday in New York.

A Star Chamber proceeding to strip a basic Constitutional right is a non-starter.
He also said that those who are the list wrongly need to be removed from the list.
If terror suspects have any constitutional rights, then they have the right to a gun or many guns or high caliber guns. Either they have ALL constitutional rights or they don’t. Period!
I’m curious if the Southern Poverty Law Center can add names to the No Fly List.
That’s right, let those terrorists have all the guns they can get their hands on. They mean no harm...
He DID make a point of insisting people have a way of addressing being on the list improperly, a roundabout way of saying “due process”.
Pick battles carefully. This isn’t one that helps win the election war.
Trump did piss poor on gun control. he could have mentioned she is against Stop and frisk yet she is for universal background checks and virtual stop and frisk no fly lists for gun purchases?
Also could have mentioned she is targetting blacks for gun control cuz she has the same KKK racist legacy.
On Chicago violence he could have mentioned gun control being ineffective and cities that do well with no gun control, even if accross the border from Ciudad.
I think he was unprepared on the issue. What the hell did the NrA tell him? This is fross incompetence.
whatever.
He did state that a process was needed to allow those on the no fly list incorrectly could get themselves removed. I have no problem with using the list as long as mistakes can be corrected.
1. there are numerous reports that there’s no good way to get OFF that list (in case you’re put on it by mistake, such as Senator Kennedy and several more well-known people were)
2. if someone’s a terrorist, he should be tried and executed (or at least returned to Krapistan) and not just put on lists
They’ll try
No! This tells them they are on the list and complicates law enforcement’s job. If they are on the list take the appropriate action. Either deport, charge or put under surveillance until you can charge them.
He booted this answer.
There is no due process for anyone on the list incorrectly.
He did say something about helping people get off the list, but I am still against denying citizens rights without due process.
>>He should have at least added “due process”.<<
Worth repeating.
DUE PROCESS DONALD!
Furthermore, wanna win over black males from 18 to 55?
Knock it off with “Stop & Frisk”. It is blatantly unconstitutional w/o probable cause.
Sounds great until you realize the Democrats consider the Tea Party a terrorist organization.
Kind of like the “of course we agree crazy people shouldn’t have guns” and then realize liberals think all conservatives are either stupid, ignorant, crazy or evil - and three of the 4 categories aren’t allowed guns and the fourth is “to be converted to Democrat”.
Many are provably not terrorists. Four year old kids with the same name, etc. This is not a new discussion.
[Trump’s knees buckling? He should have at least added “due process”. ]
He mentioned the need for a process to be able to get taken off if on mistakenly toward the end of the exchange, but go drowned out in talking or cheering.
He did.
Didn't want to sound lax on security but he did mention those who were wrongly put on the lists getting assistance to be removed from them.
