The brain drain already begins to shift out of the USA.
Why bring cutting edge tech to the US when we keep getting hacked? It’s too hazardous for innovators.
But if we can keep ICANN a little longer, Trump can shore up our encyrption and take measures against China’s plan.
The Republicans need an emotional issue that’s going nowhere ahead of the election so you forget about their contempt of “We The People” on issue after issue.
That’s why we’re talking about it now.
Its a “Sham Wow” issue like Obamacare (the never reversed it and never intend to), the Iran Nuclear Deal (enabled by the Republican Corker Bill) coming from politicians like Ted Cruz now trying to get back into good graces after the debacle of #NeverTrump.
The decision has been made and public pressure is irrelevant. See Obamacare on how to hijack an entire industry by the DC lawyer politicians. This decision has already been finalized!
So its bad like the Iran Nuclear Deal was bad and Obamacare was bad.
We had show votes on those issues where each issue was approved in the end.

Maybe congress wants to nationalize the elections and put Obama in charge of them.

All congress is seeing is public confusion on this issue. People don’t know what to think. The election is quite enough to mentally sort out.
But despite a lack of public awareness many in congress are trying to fix this anyway.
