Makes no difference who “won” the debate, if by now having listened to the candidates for several months, if you haven’t picked your candidate, forget it. It is obvious that Clinton has NOTHING NEW to offer, and relying on her record of achievements after many years in the political limelight, she has brought absolutely ZERO to the table that meant or did anything to improve this country or its people. Trump made that very clear during that debate. She is once again, bringing NOTHING NEW to the table. Vote TRUMP!!!!
The first debate doesn’t mean anything. Trump is saving his attacks for the last debate.
I’m actually a little surprised. I thought he didn’t do as well as Hillary, but we tend to be more critical of our own.
Bottom line is this is a landmark election. All the old rules have been discarded. What I might see as a win, is actually a loss.

But you are right. This is a landmark election. It is being waged at a more fundamental level than party affiliation, political philosophy, or policy options. It is resonating on the question of whether we will be a free people living in a nation of our own.

Trump clearly has the vision, momentum and the right people on his side. Brit Hume is part of the old guard who is about to get swept away by the Trump tidal wave that is coming ashore soon!
The first few exchanges were very targeted towards targeting those voters. The trade issues, the jobs, the broken 30 years of Washington. That resonated very well with many voters, even if not perfectly delivered. He dove right into it, it was planned and well used to counter the drivel talking points from Clinton. The last half, he was way off script, and not effective but in the beginning he was.
A very good liberal friend stopped by yesterday. We have an agreement not to talk politics. Pigs were flying when she brought up the debate and said she was glued to the tv watching. She is now supporting trump along with her son and husband. This is a movement. Americans want their country back from the media and corrupt politicians both republican and democrat.
As Scott Adams said, Hillary may have “won the debate”, but Trump won the election. I don’t think that phony, condescending smile she wore all night worked. It was supposed to get people to laugh at Trump, but it just came off creepy.
You are so right. This is an incredibly important election; the future of the country depends on it.
