Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump took to Twitter early Friday morning to go to war with his latest campaign nemesis: former Miss Universe Alicia Machado.
During the debate earlier this week, Democrat Hillary Clinton brought up Trump’s past weight-shaming comments about Machado, who was Miss Venezuela when Trump took over the Miss Universe beauty pageant in 1996. Machado, now a well-known actress in Latin America, says Trump once called her “fat,” “ugly” and “Miss Piggy,” among other things.
In tweets posted a little after 5 a.m. on Friday, Trump brought up reports indicating that Machado was once accused of driving a getaway car from a murder scene in Venezuela. (Earlier this week, CNN’s Anderson Cooper asked Machado, who was never charged, about the allegation. She admitted to not being a “saint girl” but said the real issue at hand was Trump’s attempt to “destroy my self-esteem.”) Trump also suggested that the public “check out” Machado’s “sex tape and past.”

I’ve been out of touch for the last 24. I thought I’d heard that this campaign had been planned since last summer...reported by the WAPO. If true, it seems a much better direction to aim fire.

Trump holds all the aces and has the winning hand.
What a bunch of Romneys we have on here. We finally have a candidate that shoots their sh*t back in their face and you sit and wringing your hands. We have a shitload of $$$ saved up, if I were him i’d run nothing but ads about how depressed this economy is and how he will fix it. Positive ads. They will be pulling this sorta crap out of their asses for the next 40 days, people won’t remember this whore by next week.
Just one more news cycle focus on nothing that will go after Hillary. TEump on the defensive once again. Can’t anyone tell him to stop. Not helping himself. At his rallies he goes after Hillary and her misdeeds, Stay focused and take away the news.
Trump is hitting this random bimbo harder on Twitter than he hit Hillary in the debate when she was standing right in front of him. He’s letting her off the hook with these random sidebars.
He’s letting Clinton get under his skin. That’s one of his very few weaknesses, and the media will exploit it for all it’s worth. The more he responds, the more this sordid story is out in front and crowding out the real issues facing America at this critical time.
With only a few weeks to go, the last thing he needs is his campaign to fall into the tabloid gutter. I really hope we don’t hear the name Machado at the next debate.
Amazing. Killary made this an issue. She chose poorly. The broad will be hung around her neck in due course. Trump tweets three tweets and it’s a tirade.
Look at Killary’s tweets from yesterday. Much more than three but that’s ok.
If the voting public are this fragile, there is nothing to save anyway.
I just don’t seecreagan doing this type of campaigning. He was always positive and on message.
Looks to me like Trump is campaigning a bit too much. He needs to cut back slightly on the number of rallies and spend more time working on his tactical game plan.

oh plezzzz! Troll my butt!! Where are the ads?? He raised enough money to put out a very good ad telling the folks how he helped her keep her job etc....this would’ve touched the women’s heart!! The mediapukes are doing a bang up job destroying his chances with the women’s vote he needs to play the part as gentle as a dove BUT CUNNING as a serpent!! He needs to outsmart the evil media-dragons!

A lot of people who are struggling and hope to reclaim the America they knew for their children have put a great deal of faith in Trump.
When he does stupid,idiotic crap like this it reinforces every negative stereotype there is about him. And he is also betraying the hopes and dreams of his supporters as well.
