Make the debate Sunday contingent on terrible hurricane damage.
No time for a show when there are lives at risk.
Here in coastal Georgia I just returned from The Cloister and they are closing tomorrow. They wont reopen until Sunday. Gas stations have small lines and a few “appear” to be out of gas. I have plenty of gas, lots of water, freeze dried food, canned food, and if my generator arrives(???..go Amazon) I will be alright.
Best wishes and God’s blessings to all in the path of this storm. This is a powerful hurricane.
Been doing my preps for 2 days,we are under a Tropical Storm watch in central Florida. All it takes is one downed tree to lose power for a week or more in some areas. Thats what happened with Hermine. Rural areas with wells also do not have water. Stores getting low on supplies everywhere. Nervous about this storm!
Please, God, let it make a beeline for D.C.

Is that latest 5pm track taking it further EAST away from south Florida? Looks like it to me.
My good buddy whom dodged So Cal earthquakes the first 53 years of his life, moved to Orlando last year. Oh well at least he knows it’s coming, shouldn’t be nearly the hardest hit area.
Matthew? Didn’t they use to name hurricanes only female names? Oh that’s right, I forgot we live in the politically correct age. Like idiot Tim Kaine last night calling himself Hillarys right hand person as if saying man is offensive.

My sister is a snow bird, not down there yet, but there is a mandatory evacuation where her house is (barrier island in Brevard County).
Her friend is riding it out, which is crazy, there is a single road north-south for much of the length of the barrier island, it could be lost to the storm swell or debris and they will be in real peril out there.
There is a webcam at Sebastian Inlet, for as long as it stay up and connected:

good luck to everyone.
if you are in the path of Matthew.
it might be helpful if you take two old credit cards
and put them in your shoes.

(Florida Gulf coast).
Prayers for all in harm’s way.
I have some friends that run a 105ft yacht and the are moored in Rybovich marina, West Palm Beach. They are going to get a direct hit! Yikes!
That isn’t a grid dot in the 7:45 UTC IR image at your link. That’s one pixel of the lowest altitude yellow on the scale. Eye forming up nicely, which isn’t nice news.
Eye on the west coast as well.
