Depends on the jury.
I was in superior court juries on two separate personal injury lawsuits. One against a doctor regarding the material he used in a man’s leg to replace his veins, resulting in him losing his leg. Another against the city of Seattle for a kid that fell off an 8’ slide onto his head on the asphalt surrounding the slide.
In both cases, the defendant won. In both cases (30+ Years ago) I schooled the jury on the concept of jury nullification.
Participating in someone’s mental illness doesn’t help them.
Munchausen by proxy syndrome in the mother. she creates an illness to be the heroine who saves the baby.

1) Biological gender still exists regardless of how anyone defines “gender”. Where/if it matters medically, hospital staff should probably be concerned with biological gender assuming this isn’t a psych hospital.
2) If people (e.g. this mom) are to be allowed to define gender for themself, everyone (e.g. hospital staff) should also be allowed their own definition.
