Priebus is not on because he knew the three minute tape was coming and did not alert Trump which tells which side he was on regardless of all his glowing appearances supporting Trump before. Clinton operatives, alleged to be working in conjunction with the Washington Post, released a brief audio tape from eleven years ago that captures Donald Trump in some unsavory locker-room banter that included a reference to grabbing a certain part of the female anatomy. Multiple sources have now indicated this tape’s release was initiated weeks earlier, and that both House Speaker Paul Ryan and GOP Chair Reince Priebus, had been made aware of its intended use – and then failed to notify the Trump campaign, making them complicit in the Clinton Machine’s intent to harm the Trump campaign.

Trump was quick to issue an apology for the more-than-a-decade old and thought to be private, comments. The Republican Establishment was just as quick to condemn Trump for them. In fact, Ryan, Priebus, Mitt Romney, and Jeb Bush, and others, all condemned Trump within the same hour of the audio tape’s release. It should be noted that condemnation has been far stronger than any rebuke of Hillary Clinton’s long record of corruption and political misdeeds, or the fact a leading figure of her 2016 campaign is husband Bill Clinton, who stands accused of rape and multiple counts of physical abuse toward various women.

Speaker Ryan was scheduled to do a political rally appearance with Trump today. Instead, he indicated he was disgusted and horrified by Trump’s naughty words from eleven years ago, and abruptly cancelled the appearance.

I'm inclined to think so, but don't have that much trust for the original source, Mike Cernovich. The reason I am inclined to think so is that I view the combination of Ryan, walker and Priebus as "joined at the hip" power-hungry back-stabbing crew. Walker has done some good, for sure, but he is not trustworthy at all.

My reservations come on the fact that Cernovich inclines to the sensational conclusion, and that Priebus has his hands full with open rebellion in the party.

I am praying that Trump stays the course -- realizes that the "debate" is a sales call to the undecided or loosely attached Democrats. He needs to brush any personal attack aside - "The American people are interested in hearing our policy proposals, not gossip."

He needs to address the "competition's product" by using and constantly repeating a key phrase such as "Clinton/Obama policies take America down the wrong track." Every time he is asked any question (in particular the got-cha ones), use that phrase and then "Here is one key policy I have heard from Americans...." then cover it. Especially he should focus on kitchen-table issues -- economy, education, disaster of Obamacare, drugs because of poor border control, and "law and order".

He also has to be prepared for the "third rail" issues -- immigration control/deportation ("Enforce the laws on the books and prioritize the good of American citizens. Additional details will be worked in collaboration with Congress.") and entitlement/SocSec ("Clinton/Obama policies set this on wrong track"; Obama diverted money from Medicare, making it closer to default; Obama cut off the funding for Social Security making it closer to default; Obama has neglected responsibility to screen applicants for other entitlements, which increase fraudulent payments.)

True, and the press is all about disproportionality and distraction.

I am amazed that they don't see what they are doing.

And, as everyone knows, Trump's comments may have been boorish, the Clinton's behavior is criminal.

This is an existential election. There is no room for error. We are now faced with the prospect of the Supreme Court slipping into the vast gaping maw of the Clinton Corruption Doomsday Machine. Once that happens, we are done as a nation of citizens. We become a feudal society with the elites owning everything by divine right and all the rest of us living by their sufferance. And in the face of this serious likelihood, the GOPe have run, tails between their legs, thumbs in their mouths, to hide, quaking in fear, clinging to the skirt- hems of the 5th column media for protection.

Trump is far from perfect but he is our only remaining chance to preserve the residue of what the Founders bequeathed to us. With a Clinton win, the war is lost - short of violent resistance. With Trump, we preserve the chance to fight on politically. A wrong choice here ends the American Experiment in government of, by, and for the People.

It is Trump or die.

I am writing this early Sunday morning, in Williamsburg, Virginia of all places, while Matthew, or what's left of it, pounds the Virginia coast.

Speaking of Matthew, I have included a pic of my nephew, Matthew Fish, and the bribes he is giving out for his campaign for the student council in his school. I often write about Matthew on this thread for even at the tender age of 14 he vows he will be president when of age and you must smile, already he's out campaigning.

Not to mention it's very possible my beautiful granddaughter might be his First Lady, they are not related thought it's complicated.

Anyway, thank you AB for reliably doing this thread, Bray for weekly wisdom, and yon commenters for helping to flesh it out for us.

Well, my niece and I had planned this trip for several months and this Matthew fellow, not my nephew, decides to visit Florida and the east coast.

Oh, we both argued and debated and my niece, Connie, daughter of my sister, said sister who LIVES IN NAPLES FLORIDA….is hysterical, telling me that they will close the Chesapeake-Bay bridge in the hurricane.

Yes we did make it down to Williamsburg but we only got to drive through the town a couple of times due to inclement weather. But we went to the Pottery and we went to the outlets and I got new rings for my beautiful fingers and new stuff for my house and we went swimming in the hotel pool and we're getting ready to go home.

So I am getting ready to leave to head home and wanted to drop you all a line and let you know I probably won't be on much after this but all is well and will touch back with you all later.

My niece Connie, and her boyfriend Jeff, is very conservative and I am telling her all about FreeRepublic.
