I certainly do not believe that Mormons are a US front for globalist/Illuminati forces hell bent on world domination. I think the Mormons are headed by an oligarchy of old men who most likely believe that they are the official representatives and caretakers of Jesus’s kingdom on earth. It’s always possible that some of them may suspect they have been indoctrinated into believing a fraud and in those cases the best proof on this would be that they would be quietly helping their posterity free themselves from the spiderweb of Mormonism. Nevertheless even for them I’d suspect that most of them who might be closet doubters wouldn’t have the stomach to risk helping free their posterity from the spiderweb so those unfortunate descendants will continue to be caught up in the movement. I just in a small way have an inkling of what they must be going through (if they ever seriously think about whether or not they are being honest about everything) as I spent 4 long months at age 28-29 continuing to be a LDS Ward Bishop’s Counselor while being newly aware that the Book of Mormon was fiction. However the groupthink mentality is so great that it just easily sucks people in.

Just to clarify. I officially resigned my LDS church membership in 2010 almost exactly a decade after I came to my conclusion that they were a fraud. I spent the first 2 years of that decade coming to personal terms with my discoveries and extracting myself from their spiderweb. Then I spent the next 8 years being quite distanced from the church but giving them every opportunity to be honest and have integrity with me and the rest of the members. And then once the decade had passed I decided to send them an official resignation. Are they the Lord’s official kingdom on earth? Probably not. Are they an honest organization? Definitely not.
