I’m NOT a Bills fan - but will be rooting for their pass rush to bury Kaepernick.
If somebody had called and said "burn that flag or I'll shoot this innocent child" then I'd agree with Kaepernick. But he puts forth a false equivalency. Nobody argues that the flag is more important than lives. Neither is football. And frakly, neigher is Kaepernick. And if Kapernick stands up and salites, no loves will be lost.
But it is a great way to poke a bunch of people in the eye and get a lot of press attention for himself and that's why he does it. If we see him on the streets in a march or protest, then I'll buy his commitment. But kneeling for a couple of minutes while everyone gushes about how brave he is, then going out partying in his supercar and expensive suit afterwards is pure hollywood-style BS.

Hit the NFL where it counts. Don’t “say” you’re not going to watch if you aren’t also going to notify their advertisers.
I have a few suggestions that may help at the grassroots level.
1) I’m not a Luddite and do watch television. I even have cable, I like Archer, South Park , college football, UFC and Dallas Cowboys.(I know they suck etc..) BUT!! what you can do to the NFL if you have to watch NFL is ONLY WATCH YOUR TEAM....DO NOT WATCH ANY OTHER GAME ON ANY OTHER NIGHT!!
Secondly, if possible WATCH it at a bar/club/group party. That way no extra eyeballs for other games and NFL goes to the rating basement like baseball, which is now only a regional sport view with crappy ratings.
They are currently blaming this on the election. Make them bleed after the election. Then we can see what excuse they come up with.
2) This is the hard one but if you can only pick out ONE advertiser, mail (snail mail) them a letter and indicate that you have purchased a competitor’s product.. car, erection pill, Budweiser, truck, ANYTHING and send them a copy of a receipt that you’ve bought a competitors product. It is a lot of effort to do it to all their advertisers but the more you can do that the better. So I aim low and try for at least one.
A way of doing this with a vehicle is to get the window sticker and mail it in.
Any product, any restaurant, any insurance company, any vacation, any pizza, any THING that is advertised by an NFL player....just try to drop them a HAND WRITTEN note or typed by snail mail indicating your choice for either a local product or a competitors.
Enclose your letter with a printed photo of a kneeling NFL player. Don’t comment , don’t deface the photo, don’t threaten, don’t ANYTHING... just send the photo
Same goes for any offers for season tickets or tickets to the game that come in the mail.
This will take an effort but it will be kinda fun to see the reaction. Copy and past this on your social media, twitter or any other place you want.
Should be a hoot. Let’s be happy warriors and make their wallets leak like a sieve.
