I should have noted in post 18 that the corrept, post-17th Amendment ratification Congress has the 14th Amendment power to stop the state from violating enumerated constitutional protections but will probably ignore the situation.
It remains that you and your women friends had somebody else watching your kids.
Public education is also taxation without representation.
As proof of that I submit that if the voters a district decide that they can not afford to fund the schools at the level the school board chooses they can go to the courts and force the people to fund the schools at that level.
The same is true for the state at large. Ohio has as part of their constitution that the state will have schools. They were sued that the state was not adequately funding the schools and the state lost. The state supreme court ruled that the state must provide more funds.
How the court could imagine that they could constitutionally force the legislature to distribute more funds to schools I have no idea.
“It remains that you and your women friends had somebody else watching your kids. “
Absolutely——we all stayed on our couches and watched soap operas all day.
It was delightful.
.
Agreed. I send mine to Catholic school. Worth every penny.

Tell me about it. The classic experiment was in Kansas City (I think) where a judge made them spend twice the national average as he determined that the crappy schools was the cause of underachievement. Beautiful buildings and stadiums, top of the line technology, everything perfect. No improvement.
I’ve about had it with this country.
Look for a president Hitlery to make it illegal/impossible via EO.
The president is not supposed to rule by decree. And the president cannot just legally issue an executive order on this subject.
Yes I agree she may issue a decree on the subject. But then there should be resistance; let her enforce it if she goes there. Let her try to enforce it and force it on all 50 states.
But where the heck in the constitution, or any laws, is there any provision for the federal government, or the executive branch, to get into the details of education in this manner?
And doesn’t each state control standards for home schooling, and education policy in general?
Sorry to ramble....
Yes, as I recall, it was Kansas City, where a judge compelled great additional investments in the schools.
If I sadly recall correctly, there was great vandalism, as the uncivilized savage “youth” attending the schools, scrawled their gang graffiti, broke the high tech computer equipment that they didn’t want to learn how to use, etc. It was a disaster.
Before we get into upgrading school facilities and all that, we would really have to somehow change ghetto culture, so that those children and parents respect the educational process, and respect property.
Cato Institute has an article that talks about the KC Schools case. http://www.cato.org/pubs/pas/pa-298.html The spending was coupled with a desegregation plan that was also a failure.
In the last debate, when asked about choosing a Supreme Court justice, Hillary never mentioned the “C” word — Constitution. Not once. It was disgusting (Trump did mention it, of course). She obviously doesn’t care about what it says.
Very true. Liberals don’t believe in the Constitution the way most of us here do. Liberals believe in the “living breathing” Constitution, which means that liberals can interpret it any way they want.
The concept of “equal protection” of the laws, was invoked by liberals to impose homosexual marriage.
An intangible right to privacy was used to justify overturning laws regulating abortion.
Liberals want a pliable Constitution so that they can do whatever they want. But still claim, that they have done something within a legal structure or framework.
Heck, “equal protection” may soon be used to impose trans-gender cross sex bathrooms on all of us.
A legal concept such as “equality”, in the wrong hands, becomes not equality but tyranny.
They are not called schools they are called reeducation centers.
The Founding Fathers would have laughed at special rights for homosexuals. They would have locked up the moron who mentioned it. He would have been committed to an insane asylum. Same goes for anyone caught committing the act of bowel sex. He would have been charged with crimes against nature and given about 50 years. That way there is no raping young children to satisfy his perversion. We are a sick, soul-less society with the God-less perverts controlling all of society and unless there’s a spiritual awakening real soon, and it’s not happening with a lesbian as president, this country will not last 25 more years. Sodomy, rampant political corruption and invasion from the outside destroyed Rome and it will damn sure do the same thing here.
Social Justice Warriors on the bench.
