Republican Lead in Two Early Voting States Will Be Tested

Uneven Early Voting Become a Political Science Experiment.

In 2012, well more than half of all voters in battleground states Florida and North Carolina cast their ballots before Election Day. In Florida, 56 percent of the electorate in the 2012 presidential race voted early and in North Carolina nearly 61 percent did the same. More Democrats than Republicans voted early in 2012 in both of these critical battleground states.

As of October 21st, more Republicans than Democrats have cast ballots in Florida and North Carolina.

In Florida, where in-person early voting begins in some counties beginning October 24th, Republicans currently have cast 2 percent more ballots than Democrats. In North Carolina, where in person early voting started on October 20th, Republicans hold a 5 percent advantage in the number of ballots cast according to analysis by the NBC News Data Analytics Lab using voter file data provided by TargetSmart.

“When did North Carolina become an official “battleground state?””

Like you pointed out, it was ridiculously close in 2008. It was also ridiculously close in 2012. They need it to be ridiculously close in 2016 for the Queen of the Filth or “Stroker Ace” as I like to call her today :-P.

There have been a lot of transplants from the north that are screwing up an otherwise beautiful state + a lot of illegal immigration.

On a side note ...

The whole political bathroom nonsense started in NC this past winter if you recall ... they knew that it’d generate divisions and motivate Hillary’s base + give them a shot at the governor’s mansion + give them a shot at the senate race this fall. Their tactic was to brand everyone as some sort of an -ist -phobe should they not fall in line with Liberal nonsense. I guess it kind of worked to an extent, but I think we are starting to see evidence that NC is falling into the sanity camp this election :-).

Early voting really does impact each state differently.

Florida had a huge problem with inadequate polling locations and voters waiting in line for long hours to vote.

In order to prevent that scenario from repeating, they expanded the time frame. However, expanding by one or two days would likely have been sufficient.

Hillary already has the lead on early voting today in NC and will continue to grow. Roughly 75-80% of D vote is early voting vs only like 40-50% of R vote. Kinda strange. If D early voting stays down 10% and even moreso among blacks, she loses here. Independent early voting is up big in NC, and very white. Good sign there for Trump as well.

i always thought that if romney could win NC then trump should be a breeze, and florida would always go to trump with better than expected polls from black voters and no real immigration issue in florida because of the cubans there and the Dominicans could care less about a wall.

along with iowa and ohio it really comes down to a single state or less i.e. maine cd2

Trump will win FL, NC, OH and PA.

It then comes down to NH, VA and NV.

Whoever wins the four will also win the last three.

We’ll see on November 8 if that’s correct.

Looks good. I expect Trump to easily win FL and NC.

Won’t be close. Ds aren’t turning out for Hillary in the numbers rigged polls say they should be.

Yes. Being reported on Twitter. I fail to see how some people believe in polling especially for this election after they are shown time after time the countless flaws in liberal college pollsters and MSM pollsters.

I have not posted on FR in years and could not get my old screen name to work so just changed it today, so not really a newbie, but anyway:
I worked in the eastern part of NC traveling from Raleigh on Oct 20, the first day of early voting in NC. & saw about 10 buses traveling toward Raleigh on Hwy 64. I just had a sick feeling they were full of illegal voters since I travel that way quite often and had NEVER noticed so many buses before, so I called the Trump/Pense voter hot-line #, but was told when I followed up the next day that there was nothing they could do. So why call ? Nobody even tried to check out my story as far as I know. That would be harassment they said. So, I guess without voter ID, we have no way to stop them from stealing this? We need to all pray pray pray. And if He gives us the victory, we need to give Him the glory!

Some one could play tag with those buses video recording everything they do.

That’s frustrating. We have the cards stacked against Us in every way known possible by the scum-bag cheaters.

Get out the vote and pray.

Ditto. Follow them and film them with your phone from a distance when they disembark (with audio). Let the see you doing it.

If one of them walks up say, "Nice to meet you and welcome to Raleigh. I'm just filming your nice busses because I've never seen so many Grayhounds parked in a row when there is no event going on. Need any help with anything?" etc

Be as polite as possible. Don't give them any excuse to claim 'harassment' (keep the audio running as evidence).

You might not be able to stop them, but you can at least unnerve them a bit.
