Send you idea to the Trump campaign
Donaldjtrump.com.
Even a flash mob at airport when his plane arrives would get coverage !
Only issue is security!
If he can win here he can win anywhere.
Correct.
Essex County
Hudson County
Camden County
Passaic County
Game over for NJ.
Only if the speed limit is 85-90!!!
I will. I cannot think of a better visual setting for him on the East coast to draw in the media, as well as most importantly, the PEOPLE. You know, his words about the trades and vocational schools during his Gettysberg speech have hardly been mentioned by the media (I wonder why? wink wink). But college is definitely not for everyone. We need to start respecting the hard working men and women of this country who when working with their hands in a trade are more fullfilled than the empty diploma people. And who can make a better living and life for themselves. NO ONE ever talks about this. No politician has ever dared to suggest that collegecollegecollage is NOT for everyone, and shouldn’t be thought of as failure. There is a huge group of what I like to call the disenfranchised who are workers, builders, tradesmen, artists, etc. Trump gets it! The towns of Jersey City & Hoboken, small town history of industry/manufacturing combined with the backdrop of the corporate Manhattan skyline would be a terrific open for Trump to make some headway into the Democratic area we need to turn RED.
One of the last times I drove the Jersey Turnpike, I was flying down the road at about 95, and was in the right lane, being passed by many on the left, and a huge gap between me and the car in front of me, and a Jersey state trooper pulled up and waved me on, like “Move it!” Then he took off, so I sped it up to a nice comfy 105 and kept up with traffic. Granted, that was the insane drive from Raleigh, NC to Montauk, NY that took me 8 1/2 hours and literally had me in DC in 3 hours. Most of 85, a group of us were hauling about 120. Most of the time, the trip took me between 10 and 12 1/2 hours. That night, it just seemed to be fate to get there fast. Granted, this is in 92, so the statute of limitations has worn off. ;)
Somewhere in Hunterdon County?
My trip was in '98, and I was very surprised that everyone on the NJ turnpike stayed within the speed limit of 65. I expected something like you describe.
I figured, the enforcement must be very strict. I can't explain it.
My trip was in 1998, when the speed limit was 65. Everyone stayed within it. It was so striking, the memory stayed with me this long.
I drive it daily. Now if you are doing 80 you had better be in the far right lane or you will get run over. If you pass a trooper going 85 or less he won't even look up.

Gotta tell ya. There are gad loads of liberal in NJ, buuuuut, in N.W. NJ, I can find only a handful of Illary supporters.
Yeah, what’s in black bear country...
Those speeds are scary!
Maybe I just happened to be there during a pre-announced enforcement of the speed limit.
We have that down here. The gov’t announces ahead of time that there’s going to be stepped-up enforcement.
