Callum Borchers, author at the Washington Post blog The Fix, admits that the press is declaring victory for Hillary Clinton — to discredit claims that the election is rigged.

Since the final presidential debate last week, many news outlets have been delivering an unvarnished message to Donald Trump supporters: Your candidate is virtually certain to lose the election Nov. 8.

They are intended to influence voters.
These are dangerous times again.
I cannot wait until the night of November 8th. I expect crying, hysterical talking heads wailing “we don’t understand” “we said he was going to lose” “we fixed up the polls to show he was going to lose” and on and on and on and on and on and on.
Influence voters on election day, yes. They worry about our enthusiastic turnout and wish to dampen it.
But, I think more importantly, they want to excuse the theft of the election. I really think the Dems are positioned to steal specific counties and grab certain states illegally. That has always been their plan.
This becomes awkward if Trump has rallies of 20,000 and Hillary has rallies of 200. The press has not been able to suppress the crowds but they very much want to publicize polls showing how wildly popular Hillary is. Golly, gee, she’s a sure winner!!
When the votes are counted and the ludicrous result is announced, the media is hoping they can act unsurprised and just say, “Of course Hillary won. You all saw the polls, right?”
The polls are the excuse NOT to look for voter fraud. Because everyone “knew” Hillary was going to win.
Bad news for the media: We will be looking for, and finding, voter fraud.
msnbc is trying to fabricate excitement over Hillary’s rally today. She has to do a joint event with mooshel to get a crowd. The “enthusiastic” long waiting attendees in line look like hard core plaid women.
it reminds me of the last ditch Romney “enthusiasm”. Big crowd, no results.
The real loser in this campaign is the press. They willl never recover from this.

I also believe Trump will win, convincingly.
But if not, and the election is stolen, things are still going to change. This is the tipping point.
Whether the tipping is peaceful or not remains to be seen.
