Republicans immediately consumed with gusto Fridays news that FBI Director James Comey sent a letter to Congressional leaders informing them that his agency was reviewing new information relating to the Hillary Clinton email case. They gleefully declared that the FBI had reopened the email investigation. While this is a misleading exaggeration of Comeys admittedly vague letter, the political use that GOP partisans have made of it illustrates why public releases of information relating to pending investigations of public figures up for election have traditionally been withheld.

When I served as chief of the Public Corruption/Integrity Section of the U.S. Attorneys Office in Miami, there was an unwritten policy at the Justice Department that no public actions be taken with respect to any investigation involving a public figure within six months prior to an election in which that figure stood as a candidate.
That's because you and everyone else in government oversight were getting paid off by the corrupt Miami-Dade officials.

I agree. He never should have let the Beast from Planet Clintoonie off the hook back in July. He should have indicted her for her crimes against America.

It’s the Russians!
Sooner or later, we will find out that “deep throat 2016” was in the FBI or NSA.

If Comey were halfway competent, he would have had her arrested, and everything pertinent to the investigation seized, the moment the news of her private server reached his ears.

Hillary, Huma, and others “made minor mistakes” and “errors in judgement”. Comey “screwed up” by pointing those out.
To: artichokegrower
He didn't screw up--he was
pressured by the Department of Justice to drop the case--in short, a
Watergate-style coverup.
This mess now reflects VERY badly on the Clinton campaign.

Comey screwed up in July when he announced the investigation was closing.
The media loved that: “Hillary Cleared!” the headlines shouted.
Only it wasn’t true.

You have to understand that everything, including the weather report, that is printed by the Sacramento Bee is official propaganda for the Democrat regime. They are the California farm-team for the NYT and WaPo.

Forgot all about that. Thank you for the reminder.
