I am not sure if they could keep it or not, that is a very good question. But one thing is for sure....that which has been seen cannot be unseen!
I have that feeling too. I feel that at some point the question is no longer going to be about metadata and he said/she said or whether it was marked (c) or not...I have a feeling the discussion is going to be “Lethal Injection or Firing Squad?”

Things I’ve read here on FR refer to people in NYPD and other NY LEO who’ve seen the emails. They say there are details in the emails about Lolita Express and Pedophile Island. And not just Bill, which we already know about, but Hillary, too.
Maybe we’ll know for sure some day; maybe we won’t.
Today, James Kallstrom who was Assistant Director of the FBI in NY, said intent isn’t even a consideration when it comes to classified info, espionage, etc. If it happens even by accident, you’re done.
A mother was interviewed today whose son is in prison for a year. He took a photo of exercise equipment in a submarine and sent it home. Turns out that far in the background was some gizmo that’s classified and he didn’t know it. Definitely no intent. Definitely an accident. Doesn’t matter.

Then we are in agreement.
During House hearings/testimony It was stated that just “knowing” something is classified or that the “subject matter” is classified, the information IS CLASSIFIED whether marked or not. Mishandling this information is a CRIME. The fact that it was not marked is not a defense.
As in retyping or sending without the headings. As if you could make something unclassified, just by removing the markings.
(I have had a Top Secret +, security clearance and handled classified materials and documents)

He sent the warning to Congress because he was alerting them to the fact that all the emails had been found. There are probably many political careers about to be destroyed by the contents of those emails. He was helping them by giving them time to destroy evidence/protect themselves.

Excellent point and one no else has brought up. Isn’t it worth considering that Huma could have been involved with clandestine activities. 650,000 emails??

We were a little more updated...I was a repair tech for the BQQ-5 system from IBM. Complicated system but it worked.....We had so many toys i can’t mention....Recording system that would make any music studio want to shoot themselves....Old stuff now but still extremely effective....Probably still not matched. ;)
