Well, there is a cloud behind every silver lining.
Totalitarian global governments deserve a hearing too. But they have already had theirs, and we see how International Communism worked out. Either they stopped being doctrinaire Communists, and became a sort of semi-capitalist country, or they collapsed of their own internal weight and contradictions.
International Worldwide Caliphates would be very nearly as unworkable, because the Muslims could never work out their internal differences, and end up in mutual fratricide, with collateral damage on all non-Islamic demographics.
