Robinson served 30 years in prison for a murder he claims was in self-defense. He is currently on living on disabilities due to mental health problems.

Doesn't it warm your heart to think that people like this are making decisions that will affect your pocketbook?

Not sure, but would this be an example of a “rigged system?” I think this would be akin to stuffing the ballot box with 60,000 ballots. Kind of tough hurdle to clear if you’re Donald Trump, but it would be sweet revenge the voting felons voted for Stein or Johnson.

Scumbag that McAuliffe is, this gets laid directly at the feet of the GOPe who refused to help Ken Cuccinelli in the VA governor’s race.

Absolutely agree! And - I've always said that if the GOPe did their jobs and removed Xlinton from office to demonstrate that we are a nation of laws - we wouldn't be dealing with Hillary today and probably not even Obama.

Almost all states do reinstate voting rights to felons after they comply with terms of the judgment against them, but on a case by case basis.

The Virginia problem is really abuse of the intention of state law.

Outright fraud!!! Where is the federal election committee on this?

Restoring the franchise right before an election, tripling the number, and the blatant CHEATING by using an auto pen to sign letters making it appear that they had done a case-by-case in depth analysis of each con.

This is pure banana republic stuff.

If they wanted to restore the franchise to felons, do it legally complying with the will of the people. The legislature debates it, passes a bill, the governor signs it and it takes effect for some agreed-upon FUTURE election, say, the first election AFTER the current governor leaves office. That way, there’s no taint of corruption or impropriety.

The nation is now thoroughly corrupt, top to bottom. There’s always been corruption, but it accelerated tremendously when Clinton got elected and again under Obama. If Clinton II gets elected, she will inherit a thoroughly corrupt DOJ, EPA, DOE, Dept of Education, and IRS. Everything she needs is already in place to destroy the U.S.

I hate the way he did this....but I agree that if you have done your time and are not on probation or parole you should get all your rights back.
Though I feel the responsibility rests on the citizen to follow up with the restoration process.
I also do not assume that most convicts are democrats. Most AA ones probably are, but many white convicts are right leaning for sure.

A replay of the FALN pardons. It’s in the dems playbook on how to steal elections.

(A firing squad at dawn might be appropriate.)

They would still vote democratic, perhaps, more than once.

McAuliffe is a felon who shouldn’t even be in office. Besides being under investigation for the money he gave to FBI McCabe’s wife’s campaign, he’s supposed to be under investigation by the DOJ for funds he raised for his own 2013 campaign from a Chinese donor while he was working for the Clinton Foundation. He’s been a dirtbag for years, cleaning up for the Clinton’s, and I hope that the law finally catches up with him.

He pardoned them. They can vote. Better yet, Va. will do the same as Florida and have a group of Hillary’s posse fill out 60,000 ballots for herself. they are doing the same in Fla. in Broward County.

Nothing to see here. Normal election with illegals, felons, the dead voting Democrat. They must be so proud.

when one illegal or fraud vote is allowed, its disenfranchising a legal vote.

why should one state be allowed to affect the entire nation?

And the scum on the left have the temerity to act as if merely telling the truth about Democrats in their own words is interfering with an election?

I couldn’t agree more. What’s to keep any governor from emptying prisons to win elections? This is ludicrous. 60,000 pardons? Really?

CNN says felons voting is a great thing.

The felons now need to demand that Governor Sweddy Balls gives them their gun rights back. If he doesn't he's a lyin ass, corrupt, bottom feeding politician.

I agree that if you have done your time and are not on probation or parole you should get all your rights back.

If the governor pardoned before their time was up, your assertion doesn't apply. They would have not served their time. For political reasons, they were released early. It is strictly a political move. It should not be allowed.
