Columbus oh...... I voted early. My friend at work lives in north columbus ( columbus is pretty much the whole county) which was prob about 50’50 for Obama in 08. He said the place was so packed he had to return later. Packed in a way he could not believe. I take it as a good sign. This was soccor mom’s for Obama territory. But I think this is the monster vote

We got to our polling place in Fairfax County (northern VA) at 6:10 or so. It's an elementary school. We always get there very close to when the polls open, and we have never had troubles finding a place to park.

This morning there were cars parked everywhere -- along the streets leading to the school, on the grass, on the sides of the parking lot directly underneath "no parking" signs. We circled the lot for about 15 minutes before finding a spot.

Inside the school, I'd say there were 150-200 people already waiting. This was in a new wing of the school, so it's hard to gauge against previous years, but I am confident there were more people than in 2012. Perhaps more than 2008! Republican sample ballots were on green paper, while Democrat ballots were blue. I saw 5 green papers and only one blue. Plus, there were three different groups discussing ballot initiatives in a way that clearly indicated they were conservative. I have never heard open discussion of conservative politics in line at that polling place before, and we have been voting there for 12 years (including mid-terms and local elections).

This is all strictly anecdotal of course, and Fairfax is a blue county. But it may well be indicative of how the rest of VA may go!

Larry, what is your info about the Dem turnout in Michigan and Pennsylvania? In particular, Detroit and Philadelphia? My hope has been that they have not been as geared up since they didn’t think it would be a battleground until very recently. Also, hoping the AA vote is more 80-20 than 93-7 like it has been with McCain and Romney. Trump’s message and the fact that most of the GOP establishment hate him should provide the space needed for them to cast a ballot for him. Fingers crossed, anyway.

I spent many years in the area and find how things are going on election day. Your area would be pretty conservative for sure.

I hope all Montgomery County will go Trump.
