I don’t think Kaine had a lot to do with her taking VA (by less than 1% as I recall). They were helped by McAuliffe allowing 60K felons to vote despite the laws of VA and a state supreme court directive. He did NOT review individually each pardon as required; he bought an autopen and got as many done individually as quickly as possible.

Also, Hispanics and Muslims were out in full force yesterday. Beyond my own DC suburban county and others in the ‘burgs, Trump/Pence did well in VA

If the Rules were to win the Popular Vote, Trump would have won the popular vote. How many resources did he devote to California or Illinois? How many votes could he have mined out of there? He didn’t do it because it wouldn’t make any sense. The object of the game was to accumulate EV’s. Crowing about winning the popular vote, is, in a way, just another example of Hillary’s stupidity. Hey, WRONG STRATEGY, Hillary!

Hillary Clinton. Couldn't beat a feckless, no-account jackass in 2008. Barely beat out an ancient, avowed Socialist with halitosis (and only THEN, with an awful lot of cheating). Couldn't beat a man who had never ran for ANY office before.

The only reason she won her Senate races is because she muscled herself into a deep blue state as a carpetbagger. A natural politician, she is not.
