I am ever so grateful that he ran and is now going to be our president.

I’m pretty sure Hillary would have been president otherwise. But even if not her, someone like open-borders Rubio would have been at least as bad in flooding the country with more leftist voters than we ever would have had a chance to recover from.

My hope is that Trump gets them all out, though I know that’s not too likely.

I share your deep gratitude.

I have to keep reminding myself that if he’ll just do the Supreme Court, do the Wall, and renegotiate the trade agreements, then we will have an amazingly wonderful situation as a nation.

However, i do think he will be able to do more for us, and I for one, (as many here) plan to do everything I can to support the effort!

I don’t blame him. NYC is probably the best place in the world.

It definitely is if you have $10,000,000,000.

>> He could live in the old post office.

Someone said on another thread to expect Bernie as PM General.

The White House is more than a residence. It is business offices and bunkers and war room. A President needs to be able to roll out of bed and get to the war room in minutes when a crisis hits. Emergency meetings with security council or cabinet or congressional leaders or foreign ambassadors can’t wait on a trip from NYC.

Maybe he’ll get the first HyperLoop built between NYC Trump Tower and the White House, so he can make the trip in five minutes.

It’s probably kinda cramped compared to Trump tower.

Good points. It is so much fun to observe and speculate! What a joy this election aftermath is compared to others.

I know that when I want to know what Trump is thinking, I check the NYTimes.

I read that Barron didn’t want to leave his friends or school.

To be fair, it was probably easier to secure Reagan’s or Bush’s ranch than Trump Tower.

Do they sleep in the same bed frame? It seems weird. I’m sure they get new mattresses but the frame - you reach out in the morning, feel your headboard, and think about how Michelle grabbed it or W coughed in it etc. I’d want a whole new bed. I bet they do.

NYC does seem like the center of the universe, I will agree, even though I’ve only been there twice.

I was already thinking that he could come home for many weekends. Didn’t carter always head out of camp David on the weekends? What is the difference?

We have plenty of ways for the executive branch to stay in touch.

Actually, there is one reason for [congresspeople] to live in D.C. that I’m sure is paramount in their minds: to get away from their constituents.

Two. Don’t forget all the hookups.
