Former George W. Bush administration foreign policy hawk John Bolton says President-elect Donald Trump’s win, coupled with the recent “Brexit” vote, presents a unique moment for the U.S. and Britain to get together behind a push for major change in the current world order.

Mr. Bolton, who is reportedly still in the running for a possible cabinet position in the Trump administration, said Washington and London have a rare chance to join forces on aggressive reforms at both the United Nations and NATO.

Is Bolton a good administrator though? Not only do we need to reform NATAO/UN we need to reform state department as well. Lots of people need to be fired

I like Bolton. I think he would be a great Sec’y of State. I know he’s got some Bush baggage but is he really a neocon?

Thoughts?

I sure hope so. The rumors that Rudy is getting that spot are very confusing to me. I think Rudy could do the job but he's obviously way more qualified for AG. As a businessman I don't see how Trump could think that Rudy is more qualified for SoS than AG.

Seems like a neocon to me.

Not a big fan of him.

Rudy would be great as AG. Need Gowdy to stay in Congress.

Gowdy is no longer in Congress. He did not run this time around.

I don’t think Rudy would make a good diplomat, at all. And I’m a fan of the guy. Really an odd choice - both Bolton and Gingrich are better choices.

I just hope he’ll tame his warhawk rhetoric. We don’t need to go to war in Syria, the Ukraine, or any of the other hotspots.

What was the reason Gowdy didn’t run?

I hope this reform means NATO is not standing guard over the leftist social-engineering and Muslim invasion of Europe.

I saw on Fox News this morning that Rudy has apparently told Trump he is not interested in being AG. The buzz is that he wants the SoS position, and therefore will probably get it.

Bolton is awesome. Wasn’t he temporary UN ambassador or something? Called out all the corruption, etc. so couldn’t get confirmed by dem controlled senate. Or am I mistaken?

There is nobody better qualified to be Sec State.

I believe Bolton cleared this article with Trump to counter Bambi’s Euro trip.

That makes no sense to me. I saw Rudy talk about how well he knows the DoJ. He's been involved in the criminal justice system his entire career. Why would he want to be SoS?
