>>> If I was in NYC I would be staking the place out to see the movers and shakers
Too late. CSPAN already set up a live-cam in showing the elevator lobby at Trump Towers.

"Why was Smith there?"
Frederick Smith, founder and CEO of Fed Ex (and founder of Toddle House restaurant chain and other companies) lives in Memphis.
He's a highly decorated former Marine officer, Viet Nam veteran. In 2014, Fortune Magazine listed him # 26 in their list of "World's 50 Greatest Leaders".
He's a self-made, high-achiever sort, a Republican....and a possibility for Secretary of Defense.
Sounds like Mr. Trump's kind of guy!

"Thank God we dont have to see Chelseas face on the news every day."
When Princessa Chelsea's name is mentioned, the Gods require a bikini pic as homage.

Many times, businessmen like Smith who have made "it" in money, power, influence and achievement get the itch for a change of pace, for a new challenge and for a chance to give back to their country for their success.
They may long for a whole new world where they can exercise their mettle and achieve new successes.
I rather think I would also, if I were in shoes like his.
In other words, don't be so sure he wouldn't accept the appointment.
I'm just not too sure he was at the Tower to be OFFERED the appointment...it may be for a spot on Mr. Trump's financial advisory circle after inauguration....or something else.
