President-elect Donald Trump will tap Sen. Jeff Sessions to be his Attorney General, according to Bloomberg News and the New York Times.
Sessions, the first U.S. Senator to endorse Trump, was rumored for a number of positions in Trump’s cabinet, including Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense but it appears that the former Attorney General of Alabama has been selected for the highest law and order position in the administration.
Sen. Ted Cruz was also rumored for the position after he was spotted at Trump Tower, meeting with the president elect.
The official announcement from Trump’s transition team is expected later today.
In addition, Rep. Mike Pompeo has been selected by Trump as CIA director ...

Sessions has been a senator for 20 years.
When I think of Jeff Sessions, I think of this line:
“grab all the rope in Texas, find a tall oak tree, round up all of ‘em bad boys, hang ‘em high in the tree.”

Levin is relevant because he is smart, principled, and influential with serious conservatives. I brought him up because just a week or so ago I heard him speaking highly of Sessions from back in the Reagan era. Levin has doubted Trump’s conservatism but these sorts of picks should help him see what many of us have seen in Trump. Namely that although Trump’s history is mixed his heart is in the right place now, as evidenced by the good conservative picks he’s making for his team. This should give conservative stalwarts like Levin more reason to support Trump.
Who are these “serious Conservatives” you speak of ? National Review ? Weakly Standardt ? Levin is still pushing for conflict with Russia just like his fellow Neo-Cons ... this should be of grave concern and these Neo-cons truly need to be pushed to the fringes where they belong .
People who value constitutional principles, that’s who. You’re a fool if you don’t see that Levin is an advocate for this nation’s founding principles. He is passionate about our founding to a fault. That’s why I forgive him for doubting Trump. It was a tactical error. Levin is a great patriot. You embarrass yourself by attempting to slander him as a neocon.
Trump’s advisor Bannon is rooted in Goldman Sachs, in case you haven’t noticed.

Levin didn’t make a mistake , he knew exactly what he was doing by opposing Trump, and like Beck he failed ...now unlike Beck , Levin is trying to hitch a ride and co-opt the Trump train ...he’s a neo-con phony and everyone is now aware of his two-faced deviousness ...you are the one embarrassing yourself by defending and exalting the fraud Levin ...

While I don’t mind putting the big names on trial, to tell you the truth, I’m more interested in JAILING the MILLENIALS that worked in the trenches to enable all of this corruption. I want them to see 5 years each in Leavenworth and then have to work at a car wash the rest of their lives.
