Yes Ivanka is gorgeous as all get out and having stayed in properties she’s had a hand in I can attest she’s great at that
But by our standards she is a social liberal on women’s rights and gay stuff and I suspect may be tolerant of choice even as she has kids
I am wary of her influence despite the fact she’s hard not to like
I’d drink her bath water with no hesitation
But I hear her talk I hear Swarthmore or Smith style brainwashing about glass ceilings and women’s validation

For a women’s magazine, one would think they would put this in a positive light. But, nooooo, can’t have a beautiful intelligent and powerful woman if her last name is/was Trump.
I speak both - they are nothing alike with the exception that some Japanese characters were borrowed from the traditional form of the Chinese characters. Mainland has moved away from the traditional forms to a simplified form which is similar but requires study to recognize the older characters. Traditional forms are still used in other Chinese communities - Taiwan, Hong Kong (though likely changing) and Sinagapore.
Chinese is a tonal language so if you change inflection it totally changes meaning of the word. Part of the reason Cantonese and Mandarin is so different is that Cantonese has 6 tones and Mandarin has 5 - both read/write the same, but can’t speak to each other with exception of very simple words/phrases that are common. Both tend to follow our Subject-verb-object pattern.
Japanese is not tonal and follows an Subject-Object-Verb pattern. Often the Subject is dropped and assumed. They also have different phonetic alphabets used for words that are additive to the chinese characters (kanji) or where no chinese character was adopted and can be dependent upon the word being native (hiragana) or borrowed from another language (katakana)

One guess: Trump handed the CNN reporter the picture, told him to put it up for a few minutes and then delete it, knowing that this would suffice to create the daily “tempest in a teapot” for the mainstream press to obsess over while he was putting the transition process into overdrive.
More seriously, though, a President Trump is going to have to figure out how to deal with some complex conflict of interest issues if his family retains his business interests.
He could perhaps model himself after the Dems since they’ve done such a superb job separating their political power from their personal interests that most of them leave office poorer than they entered it...(snicker)

It looks like Melania has a sense of humor or at least has a way with the backward slap. She wore a black dress to the funeral, uh, tea with Moo. She wore a white pantsuit to the victory speech to slap down Hellary. She wore a pink pussy bow collared shirt to the debate. High five, Melania.
