Mike Huckabee: Trump Putting Romney in Cabinet Would 'Insult' Voters
Newsmax ^ | November 19, 2016 | Todd Beamon

"I don't see any way in the world that Mitt Romney would have a cabinet position in the Donald Trump administration," the former Arkansas governor told Uma Pemmaraju on Fox News...

"It would really not so much be an insult to Donald Trump," he said. "It would be an insult to the supporters of Donald Trump, who went out there and faithfully stood behind Donald Trump, to give a guy a job who basically said all those supporters were following a con man.

"That would be an insult to the voters..."

"We had a far-reaching conversation with regards to the various theaters in the world where there are interests of the United States of real significance," Romney told reporters after leaving the meeting. "We discussed those areas — and exchanged our views on those topics."

He called it a "very thorough and in-depth discussion in the time we had.

"I appreciate the chance to speak with the president-elect — and look forward to the coming administration."

Romney walked away as reporters shouted questions.

I sure hope you are correct.

Romney should not have any position in the Trump administration. But I thank President Trump for having the class to call him in for a nice friendly chat.

Whether you like the guy or not, he would make a better Secretary of State than the last two. Of course, that’s not saying much.

Huck is probably right, but I’m sure there’s some bad blood in there from 2008 as well

Romney needs to be assimilated in one way or another. He has a vast fundraising network and he is not going away.

Have to disagree with you. I think Trump just proved that you don't need massive fundraising, or massive campaign spending, to win.

And isn't that what we want? Why does someone need so much money to run for office, whether it's the House, Senate, or the Presidency? Trump rendered the media whores almost entirely irrelevant in this election, and if said media whores did their job fairly and honestly, candidates wouldn't need to spend millions upon millions of dollars to get their message to the people.

Agree. It’s a lowering of standards and looks like desperation to fill a position. I’m pretty sure Romney doesn’t care too much for Trump either.

Hard to argue with Huck’s logic. Give turncoat Romney a plum post over a number of qualified loyalists? Maybe not.

It is the ULTIMATE TROLL!! All Romney wants is to preen in the public eye...so Trump is setting this up, just so everyone can call Romney out, without Trump having to say a single word.......Boom.

He was visibly shaken. No way in hell he gets even dog catcher. Trump had a Come To Jesus talk with him. He was rattled.

I noticed it too. Thought he looked shaken for sure he did not look like some one that had gotten a great compliment.

“with this unsolicited advice via the public I suspect he just disqualified himself from becoming a Trump appointee.”

It might. But it also removes any speculation he’s been offered anything so far.

Huck is going to ‘high horse’ himself out of a job.
He often does not play well with others.
I recall when he shut Ted Cruz out of participating in a public presentation with Kim Davis, the public clerk who objected to gay marriage.

New Yorker like Trump knows instinctively not to trust this spaceman cultist POS.

Utah supported Trump in spite of this scumbag, Trump is just being magnanimous.

Mitt should not be trusted simply because he does not care about this country. He cares about globalism. The US is in the way... the only person I trust less is Hillary Clinton. Mitt is #2.
